trs Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 It was either Akinbiyi or the ball boy. Bet he's still thinking about that one
nicko Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Hull City ARE pulling off one of the deals of the window...great name. Hoping that one keeps. No pleading PMs theythinkitsallrover. Lips sealed.

Bobby G Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 If he is that good, it could be the difference between them getting another 12-13 points or not. And that would mean safety.
Iceman Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Right now i would be seriously disappointed if Roque leaves at this stage especially if its for an amount under 20mill. I would be more happier if Cruz stays, and a replacement for Derbs is signed up. I know we got Diouf, but i think more of him as a bentley replacement.
nicko Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 There may be something bad happening for Tony Adams today...crisis meetings at Portsmouth.
philipl Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Are the Mail onto something with that 18 year old winger coming from Hungary?
nicko Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Are the Mail onto something with that 18 year old winger coming from Hungary? Woah, woah, woah. The Mail are only onto the story in the soaraway Sunday People...or even on here. That is the Hungarian lad who was over, but there is no decision on him yet.
PAFELL Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Better by the minute obviously. You are going to have an awkward moment in the next 24 hours. The biggest offer or offers in your history...but no-one to come in as we speak if you accept it. If Tony Adams is sacked at Pompey, would that end any interest in Crouch leaving?
nicko Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Portsmouth news...and this is Rovers-related. Split on Adams - some want him out, others want to keep him. Main argument is there isn't a 'motivator' available to replace him just now. Have these people never heard of Coyley? Crouch won't go unless the offer is 'massive.' Sounds like a hard one to do at this late stage.
laughatthedingles Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Would you say the Hull signing is enough to make me think twice about my bet on them for the drop?

That is the Hungarian lad who was over, but there is no decision on him yet. Oops- hadn't connected it as being the same one. In that case, I doubt its happening. Man City are to make themselves even more unpopular. Noticed the Mirror are carrying a story that Mansoor will sweep away Hughes, Cook and Aldridge in the summer and bring his own management in. Capello the tip as the football manager. Great move on the cusp of World Cup qualification, not! PS to Villa lurkers= can you lot keep your brass in your pockets today and sign Micah Richards tomorrow? Thanks.

I don't think I would ever watch football again if that happened. I hope that Capello would have more class. I don't see him as a mercenary.
Iceman Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Nicko, so you think that there is still a real possibilty that Cruz might still leave? It seems this Crouch links doesnt want to dissappear.
Hi Mack Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Nicko, The Hull transfer isnt Darren Bent is it? Its been in a couple papers this morning!Cant see it myself! Also any more news on who the Rovers representatives were at Bolton yesterday?
spencey7 Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Crouch won't go unless the offer is 'massive.' Sounds like a hard one to do at this late stage.
ffan Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Hull fans seem to think they are signing Pannuci and an outside bet of Darren Bent.
nicko Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Would you say the Hull signing is enough to make me think twice about my bet on them for the drop? I would think Newcastle, West Brom, Stoke and Middlesbrough are better reasons to fear that one won't happen. Good imaginate signing by Hull all the same. Phil Brown may be his own number one fan, but this is good thinking. Sam hinted last night that there may be some loan moves coming in - would you know who he has in mind? Zoro could be right...if Emerton is injured in a big way. Can't see any reason in signing him unless there has been a casualty down the right. Any more news on who the Rovers representatives were at Bolton yesterday? Barry Whibtread, chief scout, who was just back from Boulogne v Lens where Aruna Dindane did NOT impress.
blue and whites Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 nicko: do we have money to spend even if we don't sell roque? and are ve monitoring any midfielders?
Iceman Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Is Dindane and Kone different players? Dindane is a quality player, might just have had a bad game at the wrong time.
nicko Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 nicko: do we have money to spend even if we don't sell roque? and are ve monitoring any midfielders? By the looks of it, 'no' on both counts. But wait until Monday evening to assess that - and what it means.
krypton Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 nicko, Is it true Bolton's suprise signing will be Scharner?
