LeChuck Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 didn't you know gumboots? Vogel is a world class CM. It was only Ince that couldn't see this because he hated him andheld a grudge against him. You really are the biggest cock on here, aren't you? You know no-one said anything of the sort about Vogel.

American Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 You really are the biggest cock on here, aren't you? You know no-one said anything of the sort about Vogel. Actually, many people did.
Blue n White Rover Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Nicko, whats the latest on all the transfer dealings as of yet. Arshavin to Arsenal? Crouch to Rovers? Roque to City/Spurs? Keane to Spurs? Kuranyi to Rovers? Any others I've missed? Cheers
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 You really are the biggest cock on here, aren't you? You know no-one said anything of the sort about Vogel. Err, he has a point. The way some went on about Vogel as though he was going to be the answer to all our problems was disproportionate to any games he ever played in.
Guest Kamy100 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Looks like the deadline will be extended, however clubs will still have to register deals with the FA and will be allowed to complete formalities at a later date. Apparently this will be done on a case to case basis.
Bobby G Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I think this makes it open-ended and its a farce. Only increases the likelihood of Roque leaving.
nicko Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Nicko, whats the latest on all the transfer dealings as of yet. Arshavin to Arsenal? STILL HAGGLING Crouch to Rovers? DOESN'T WANT TO COME Roque to City/Spurs? SPURS ARE OUT OF IT...BUT HOW CAN YOU SELL TO CITY WITHOUT A REPLACEMENT? Keane to Spurs? YES...LIVERPOOL MUST NEED THE DOUGH...SO MUCH FOR HARRY LOOKING FOR BIGGER PLAYERS! Kuranyi to Rovers? NEVER HEARD OF IT...COMES FROM A MAGAZINE INTERVIEW...UNLIKELY Any others I've missed? TOO MANY TO MENTION Cheers PLEASURE
hawkiiz Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 what does that mean exactly? do they have to say "we are definately buying X player" and gamble that they are able to pull it off, or must they say "we are signing x player for £Xm on a x yeear contract" and then can do the actual paperwork?

Apparently this will be done on a case to case basis. I don't really see how this helps anyone. Surely to register the player the clubs must have agreed fees, contracts and everything else before 5pm. What would happen if a player was registered then they failed to agree terms afterwards?
Amo Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I'm still surprised that Vogel wasn't given a chance. He's a tidy midfielder who did a solid job towards the end of last season. Sam has earned the benefit of the doubt, Ince didn't.

Apparently this will be done on a case to case basis. After the Benjani incident this was always likely to be the case. The minute you set a precedent - and these Premier League spineless sponges allow it - you are knackered. Does this mean I have to stay up all night again?? Has anyone told Stroke Boy?

Sadly yes, tell Mrs. Nixon dinners cancelled. Think Stroke boy's gone to the poundshop to buy 3 of those plastic mobiles he has sat with him every deadline day.
hawkiiz Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 these managers/chairmen/clowns get paid millions each year, and they dont even understand the consept of deadlines!
Iceman Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Well this extended deadline is a farce. Why didnt they just say window will close at midnight on 02/02/09, saved everybody the trouble of having to scramble for players. And dont they check the weather over there?
Guest Kamy100 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I think the way it is going to work is by 5pm: * Fax papers to FA saying that agreement is in place to buy X player * Request additional time to have medical due to X player not being able to travel due to weather problems * Medical etc takes place say tomorrow, if X player passes medical then deal goes through and if he fails deal is cancelled.
Bobby G Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Kamy any idea about the position of potential players we are looking at even?
Hughesy Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I think the way it is going to work is by 5pm: * Fax papers to FA saying that agreement is in place to buy X player * Request additional time to have medical due to X player not being able to travel due to weather problems * Medical etc takes place say tomorrow, if X player passes medical then deal goes through and if he fails deal is cancelled. Seems fair. To agree terms is much quicker than the medical. I would be delighted if we could get Bent on loan.
Guest Kamy100 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Has anyone told Stroke Boy? I hear that Stroke Boy is jumping up and down in the corridors of Sky as he now can have is "theatrical performance" between 5pm and midnight. The performance will include heart stopping moments and mysterious phone calls/texts whilist on air, heck he may as well go the whole hog and say it sponsered by Orange.

Apparently this will be done on a case to case basis. Case to case basis = Man City and Spurs will be allowed to do deals whenever they feel like it. :angry2:
Iceman Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I have a feeling many are going to be disappointed when this is all over. We never seem to do too much dealings on the final day, and unless a massive bid for Roque comes in, i suspect he will be staying.
rovgers Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Hi Nicko, Any truth in the rumours on setanta that rovers could be interested in signing Henri Camara from Wigan?
Fylde Coast Fan Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Forgive me for taking this off Rovers again but I'm curious as to what Liverpool will do up front if Keane goes back to Spurs? Surely if Torres gets crocked again they've only got Ngog and Kuyt.
MancVillan Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Seems Chris Eagles could be on his way to Sunderland. I'm guessing this is the bad news for Burnley. Any more news on Pogrebnyak? He'd be a great signing for Rovers, very, very good player. When you think Pavyluchenko went for £18m - Pogrebnyak was first choice in the Russian team before him, and Pavlyuchenko only played in the Euro because of the injury sustained by Pogrebnyak.
nicko Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Hi Nicko, Any truth in the rumours on setanta that rovers could be interested in signing Henri Camara from Wigan? No, he will probably sign for Stoke City.
John Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Keane having medical at Spurs. I fear we are in trouble unless we bring in cover, midfield looking thread bare.
