This is clearly a City stunt so they can say they backed Hughes. SSN are obviously delighted as well because it keeps the advertisers happy.

30 minutes is not enough time to drive to Eastlands keeping within the speed limit, never mind have a medical and send Sturridge in the opposite direction.

But it is long enough to for both clubs to send an e-mail to the FA. The deal could be granted dispensation to be sorted out with 24 hours.

If City want him this badly then we need to take them for all they're worth. Should be asking City for the likes of Johnson and Sturridge plus a good deal of cash. We are in no position to sell and to be quite honest we really shouldn't unless the deal is exceptionally good.
