Overly paranoid anyone? Yes, you.

i am equally paranoid as you are excited about this sturridge. he is no supertalent! he scored a lucky goal against us, it doesnt make in the new shearer. we need to stay up, not keeping man city players fit!

What use is a player who is unlikely to be fit before March???

This is clearly a City stunt so they can say they backed Hughes. SSN are obviously delighted as well because it keeps the advertisers happy.

30 minutes is not enough time to drive to Eastlands keeping within the speed limit, never mind have a medical and send Sturridge in the opposite direction.

I would still have him over Bent............ especially as we are in february already!

I believe Rovers have already turned the £25 mill down. SSN first said a deal was possible then any deal was off. The replacement in my view is the only problem - if Sturridge is the player that has turned Rovers down - Crouch does not want to come - the only other option would be Bent - agree deal and sort out medical etc after the dead line.

Premier League has agreed to extent Transfer deadline... with the cavieat that the deal is ageed in principle.

yes and the buying club has to prove that the weather stopped the player from coming for a medical, something which will be quite hard seeing as keane made it from Liverpool to London today. Can't see this being used in RSC's case

Provided the weather/snow made it impossible to do the deal. Jo to Everton and Wigan's deals clearly show there is no impediment in the north west.

This is another reason why its a stunt:

16.16 The price on Roque Santa Cruz making the switch from Blackburn to Manchester City has moved with Sky Bet. The striker is now 5/4 to be a City player while he is 4/6 to remain at Ewood Park.

...is the only reference to Roque on the Skysports web site.

This stinks.

Never said I was excited, but he's scored as many as RSC has this season. I'm at least believe that he'll be professional enough to do his job to make him more attractive to make the move to the big 4 that has been rumored of him.

Newcastle have an £8m bid for Michael Johnson rejected... is that because he's one of the pawns in the RSC deal? £25m, Johnson & Sturridge??

Its been well documented that Johnson likes the nightlife too much, has a huge ego and has a mystery injury. Sturridge is totally unproven at this level, sloppy defending by us for the last few mins of the City game makes him a world beater? rubbish.

Its highly unlikely they would offer Sturridge as a transfer anyways more likely a loan. Again no thanks, i can't see him being committed especially if City are our survival rivals.

£25 million is pointless so late into the window. If you had said a week ago £25 million for Roque then i probably would have taken it as we had time to find replacements. If we agree to this deal we won't be bringing anyone in (especially in midfield- we haven't been linked to anyone) and the cash will disappear when Sam asks for it in the summer.

Isn't Johnson a p__shead only interested in partying though? £25m and the two mentioned would be pretty damned good, providing the rumours over Johnson are not true, and Sturridge develops some real potential. And hopefully we have another ace up our sleeve with the £25m.

yes santa have not scored so much this year, but remember we had ince at the helm for half the season and on top of that santa was injured for a while. we didnt win a match from september to late december, and since then santa have only played a couple of games. how can he score 20 a season with a team that dont win matches for 2-3 months? we were not losing 0-1 either. we lost 0-3 to wigan. it tells you that we were abslolutely crap. now santa IS a quality striker, but he need the ball to get into the oppositons half more than 3 times per game.

sorry im just worried we lose santa and not get anyone better in. i dont care for the money one bit.
