I would have thought because the average scottish premier league defender would struggle in the english championship; ie. boyd would struggle against a better standard of defender

I remember linking Boyd with Weightwatchers much to the annoyance of T4E...he is too slow for the Premier League.

Mendes is ok but similar to what Rovers have...he's not the kind of defensive sitter Allardyce will go for.

IMO we don't need another striker, we can cope with Roberts, Benni and Derbyshire.

Very dangerous to think like that imo, when he's in form Roberts is willing but still isn't right out of the top drawer, Benni's new found streak of enthusiasm and form could be gone as quickly as it came by this time next week, and Derbyshire has yet to properly prove himself at this level.

In deep relegation trouble, and contemplating selling our star player. Ironically to one of our main relegation rivals.

I can just imagine what Jack Walker would have made of that.

Nicko i asked you about scott brown in the summer would he be the type sam would go for,i know he is more box to box than def mid but imo he is the best player in scotland and would be a hit in the pl.

He certainly wasn't the star player at Bayern, and has shown NOTHING this season to say he is our best player, at the moment Benni looks our best player (by a mile).

We aren't selling our star player to a relegation rival, we are mugging them off. He may score goals for them, but it doesn't matter because he doesn't seem to be scoring any for us. We can't let the asset depreciate any more, if he doesn't score any more goals till the end of the season, how much would he be worth then?

He might have 3 seasons like at Bayern, no goals and no appearances. We can't afford to let that happen....

Derbyshire as well as Gally have not, imo, been given a decent run in the team for awhile to make a complete judgement. Although Gally had a decent run not so long ago, he should have learnt more and got more experience and confidence by now in the lower leagues.

If Roberts or Derbyshire were one on one with the keeper who would we put our money on to score. Though hopefully with Sam's training Roberts could improve that part of his game.

Roberts & Benni aint bad, Derbyshire I wouldnt rely on too much for anything, so realistically it leaves us with just 2 good strikers (1 of which cant finish most of his chances).

We really need a 15 goal a season striker if RSC goes.

No mate i dont think there is a chance we will get nolan bolton would want too much money.

He's a lot younger than Benni. If someone were still in with silly money like 7m + for Benni or 18m for RSC, personally I'd take the 7m for Benni out of the two.

I wouldn't actually sell either in our current predicament though.
