One of your old boys will be moving over the weekend too. Chunky chap. Striker. No more clues on his name - or where he is going.

That'll be Shefki then.

So was Grella...in Italian or international football.

I worry about players who have not been into the heat of Premier League battle until those ages.

It's too quick for them and too late to adjust.

MOM against Boro

Assist against WHAM.

He hasnæt been awful only injured.

Or Yorke.

Will give you the inside on the Man City and ex-Rovers striker move later on tonight.

Got heaps to write for the next few hours and Mrs Nicko is also tapping her toes in a menacing manner.

11 o'clocker it is.

i can't help it if you can't read.

I was actually referring to the guy who said Hughes releasing the info must be illegal. Even so, it's still strange how I didn't see you demanding Rovers sue Roque over the clause leak when it was given to nicko. Only when Hughes mentions it you have a problem.

Sorry, but irrespective of positions, Grella was never in the same league as Bresciano... and I don't mean Serie A.

In the summer, I was hoping that Rovers went for Marco (28), rather than Vincenzo (29).

Jay Jay Okocha arrived in the PL at age 28 and he performed well enough for Sam.

Or Fenton

Or Grabbi? (He was a bit Chunky)

I think Sparky is doing pretty darn well in the Transfer Window if he managed to get Wayne Bridge for £6million, I know that the figure is rising, but it doesn't mean that you have loads of money (which they do, Richest Owners in the PL, confirmed by 4-4-2 mag), you splash out and pay over the top. You still want the best deal for your club, regardless of how much cash you have. I think City are playing this quite well and may well get a few bargains this January.

Okocha was a player of exceptional skill but no pace...

And, by the way, people forget Sam stuck him in the reserves for five months and tried to move him out before he made an impact.

Rovers need players in their early to mid-20s.

Grella keeps breaking down because the game is too intense for him. That doesn't mean he is a bad player, just not ideal for the Premier League.

Grella has started two Premier League games and managed two halves in half-a-season. That isn't enough. Nowhere near.

Nothing prepares you for it. It doesn't mean it's the best in the world, just different and very demanding.

Okocha is a one off. I was at the KC Stadium last year watching Okocha, at the age of 34, in the Carling Cup against Chelsea, skin Ashley Cole time-after-time. In the end Avram Grant had to take him off because he was getting frustrated and laughed at.

there's no correlation there, i was merely conjecting with regard to these clauses being public domain, irrespective of who's talking about it.

I would personally have leaked the low figures and made Man City look stupid.

Exactly!

This is something I really, really don't get about the whole transfer merry-go-round. With all the shady, underhand, "high-level" discussions and talks between clubs, agents and players, why on earth wouldn't it make the UTMOST sense for a club who want more money (as we do for Roque, and West Ham do with Bellamy and Parker) not just come out and say: "Hang on a minute - We haven't been offered even close to what Man City or the media are reporting!"

Man City and Spurs seem to be exempt from journalistic fact-checking (with the exception of Nicko of course.... ;))

Infuriating.

I think were one of the few clubs left who still try and do all their transfer dealings proffesionally, without stooping down to their level, seems to be a lost art.

It could be that nicko's talking rubbish though, but of course even considering that as a possibility is sacrilege on this board.

...waits for above sentence to be proved right by endless retorts about what a bad man I am.
