Dont know if anyone mentioned it but Zoro was the player who was in tears during a Serie a game a few years back and Adriano had to convince him to stay on the pitch as he was racially abused by his OWN fans.

I am happy to hear quality players being looked at, I think the right back could be Deggen at Liverpool, he is great going forward but for some reason has not played much for Liverpool this season.

Reacting means they win.

They want to provoke him its why they do it, so you could argue he is. However there could be other considerations we know nothing about, so its harsh.

He could be our Diouf substitute though.

if it was me, i would do the same. i would think i deserve better than being abused like that. they dont win. losers like that never win - if they want to stand there with nazi flags and shout at me, they can do it, but im not going to be there as a target. it is about as low as you can get as a human being. disgrace.

We're all scratching our heads why City don't get their chequebooks out and pay the amount they know they need to, to get the players in now and move up the table, however consider this:

City are one of 10 or so clubs who look like they will be in the fight for survival until the end of the season.

Newcastle, Blackburn and West Ham are also in that. If City continue to disrupt these teams and their players until the end of the month, then put their money up when its too late for these teams to buy replacements surely that puts City in a good position?

Only if the other clubs are stupid enough to sell. They will get what they deserve if they do that.

Any news on the Italian right winger from Fiorentina the Times rated us as in a good position to sign?

At the moment it certainly looks like we have some players of substance we are looking at. Makes a change from wondering what was lurking in the MK Dons and Macclesfield squads.

i know nothing about his footballing skills, but

is he mentally weak because he reacted to this??

I would not say he was weak - unless you are in that position you never know what it feels like to be racially abused. In some ways it took courage to make a public stance like that - probalble knowing it would provoke more abuse etc. It is the old story of bullying, we all know that in all walks of life it happens - yet I often ask myself why does a person allow themselves or why do they put up with the bullying as long as they do. But again it is a case unless your in that position it is hard to answer. Maybe Zorro just said to himself enough is enough and therefore reacted the way he did.

Ironic that Portsmouth - Man City's postponement means Hughes will at least have another week in charge, giving City the chance to bid once more for Roque. Had they lost today, it would have been bordering on untenable for Sparky and maybe the end of the pursuit as well. Fate maybe?

It would plain stupid for Rovers to accept a last-minute bid for Roque. It wouldn't benefit us at all. We'd have no time to sign anyone, and would be potentially strengthening our rival into the bargain. I'd rather keep a sulking Roque till the end of the season than sell him at the end of January.

I thought that was the one with a cut for Roque.

I dunno. I can see his value falling and falling and in the end wishing we had sold him now.

His Value can fall but if nobody values Roque at £18million then he stays, because we do not have to accept a bid lower than that. I'd say Rovers are in a strong position with the Roque situation. It's a win-win situation for us.

Yeah, I can understand that but compare the cost of falling out of the division...
