67splitscreen Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 yeah let's all laugh at the severely disabled shall we? I'm deaf in one ear, and 60% deaf in the other, and I found it funny. chill out, we are quite capable of taking a joke.

BuckyRover Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 And then join the Glen Hoddle appreciation society.... There is only one thing the French are good at... "retreat, retreat!!!" I would rather have a German garrisson in front of me than a French one behind! :-)
Backroom Tom Posted January 12, 2009 Backroom Posted January 12, 2009 Right I am ready to be shot down for this suggestion (deservedly so even I think its a bad one), how about Henri camara as backup for the strikers, gotta be better than Derbyshire surely? Would be going cheap too I imagine. Well he looked good in that All stars game that time. Ok I'll get my coat.
T4E Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I would be happy with Camara. Something a bit different. Not a replacement for RSC, but certainly a better player than Derbyshire.
Ewood and I Would Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I'm deaf in one ear, and 60% deaf in the other, and I found it funny. chill out, we are quite capable of taking a joke. Sorry but being a little hard of hearing doesn't qualify you to speak on behalf of the deaf and dumb which is a far more serious affliction.
tonygreenbank Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I watched the League Goals programme the other week and was nearly dozing off by the time Division Two came on. Then the Stanley match was shown and the striker got a brilliant hattrick and was named the Player of the weekend. It was a pleasant surprise to be told that the lad in question is on Rovers books. Jamie Clarke is his name and he looka real prospect with exceptional pace. I have never heard of this lad but if he matures quickly at Accrington we have a real star on our hands. If we keep hold of Roque until the summer this lad has the potential to be in the starting line up next year. He is 20 years old.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 He made his debut under Ince, therefore i reckon it's fair to say the deal was probably agreed while Ince was at Ewood. You appear to be defending the indefensible ADB, in deflecting criticism for Ince's awful reign at Ewood. I don't see how Ince's transfer dealings are "indefensible". Questionable, perhaps. I see your favourite Keith is still getting picked. Perhaps Sam shares the viewpoint of most objective fans and doesn't scream and bawl because of where we got him from. Certainly seems so, doesn't it? What I'm saying is that, yes, while the deal may have been Ince's, it doesn't mean we should boo and cuss the lad every time he gets near the pitch like some did with Andrews. Andrews proved people wrong, and through Andrews, Ince proved some people wrong (They all said he was cack, basically). Even if you think Ince is the "most terriblest manjer eva in the worlds", a stopped clock is right twice a day. How about we watch him before we judge him this time eh? Less egg on face that way.
hawkiiz Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Sorry but being a little hard of hearing doesn't qualify you to speak on behalf of the deaf and dumb which is a far more serious affliction. interpret it as stupidity instead of muteness. then giggle
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Roman Bednar isn't foreign. So I doubt it. Neither is Kamara. EDIT: Foreign as in not playing in the Premier League. Which Nicko confirmed he isn't.
hawkiiz Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I see your favourite Keith is still getting picked. who else could we play? didnt 90% of our midfield get injured after a few sessions under the Arch?

Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I only said the deal was probably agreed while Ince was at Ewood. I didn't mention his signings, Keith Andrews nor did I bawl, or scream, about anything. Kind of backs up my point about you defending everything Paul Ince ever did. I don't defend everything Paul Ince ever did. I gave him a chance, got fed up after the Wigan game and off he went. He was useless at times. But you can't just say his transfer dealings were "indefensible". At the very least it seems he has brought in a good young keeper who could be a future star. Kind of backs up my point about you lamenting everything Paul Ince ever did.
den Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 But you can't just say his transfer dealings were "indefensible". You're right and I didn't. I said his reign at Ewood was indefensible.
67splitscreen Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Sorry but being a little hard of hearing doesn't qualify you to speak on behalf of the deaf and dumb which is a far more serious affliction. Excuse me can you speak up, I can't hear you. If you would like to PM me we can have a debate about the above, instead of taking the thread off topic, with your little crusade.

Not going to make it in the Premiership almost certainly. He's played 15 games and scored 5 goals which is quite good actually but I think he may be released soon. He is currently back at Ewood to try and impress Allardyce with Accrington waiting to hear to see if they can get him back

If you have seen him a few times then I am prepared to trust your judgement. Lets hope that Sam sees something in him as I like to see Academy kids get through( if indeed he is an Academy product!)
mark1875 Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 For all we know, this guy might be the next Jonny Stead. Remember him? Don't remember Hughes being slagged off for signing him though. im pretty sure mark hughes had nothing to do with signing jon stead? pretty sure souness bought him - but u r correct no one slagged off the signing that souey made !
nicko Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 James Beattie is signing for Stoke in a matter of hours...if not minutes. Too expensive if you ask me. No great loss.
Hughesy Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Nicko when do we hear some info about this striker?? For some reason it wont allow me to send PM's - anyone else having the same problem??
mattyboy6000 Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 no (beattie to stoke isn't a great loss)
Mc Love Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Nicko when do we hear some info about this striker?? For some reason it wont allow me to send PM's - anyone else having the same problem?? Think he said its for the 11 Pm'er
AJW Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 The Macclesfield kid signs...there's another for the list...remember some said that was more anti-Ince stuff when I first wrote it. Huh. The striker I have heard about would probably be on ONLY if Roque leaves. Think there has been a move for someone today, but it's not what I would call glamorous...keeping that for the 11 o'clocker. Saviola is being chased by Portsmouth...not sure he is what they or you need...hardly played for ages. Jones will be a lot of money - Villa have it, so it's up to them to spend it. This is proving to be a hard market for people to do deals in, mainly because so many clubs are in the same relegation fight and so many oafs are doing the deals. sorry its been a long day at work...... i dont know how i should be reading this " the striker that would only come if roque leaves ? " is that who we have moved for today but is not glamorous ? or the somone we have moved for today that is not glamorous is not a striker and has nothing to do with RSC

The 'right sider' is a player you have inquired about but is not the biggest name in the game...a steady Eddie.

Is the player going to better than what we have got though Nicko?, I was thinking about Emerton. (could it be Leon Osman?)
