islander200 Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Lads some of ye are dreaming, osman is not going to join rovers, podolski is not going to join rovers, anelka is not going to join rovers and last jones is not going to join.We are in a relagation battle and we are going to have to be realistic with our targets all the above would command big transfer fees and big wages. Why would leon osman leave everton who are challenging for europe for blackburn?

my_name_is_Earl Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Any move been made for Taylor Nicko, what's the likelihood? Very good option in the short term... Also, any news on how Zoro's trial is going? good first impression? How about Santa, anything being done on the City side of the fence at the moment to increase the bid? Cheers
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 £1 million is a very good price for a versatile, solid but not spectacular player. If this move for Taylor goes ahead i assume Bert is going to stay on the right wing until at least the summer. If there is a choice of Taylor or Bert for right back i would pick Bert everytime, but it looks like there is shortage of decent right wingers out there in our price bracket so i have no problems with this move.
bonerdude Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 looks like someones been on the reality pills...bout time...........

Dunnfc Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Is it the Benfica striker Makukula or whatever or has he gone to West Brom?
novella Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 im guessing the striker being looked at is janko. we will have to wait and see....
Blue n White Rover Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Zigic? He seems to get linked with us in nearly every transfer window!
Dunton Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Nicko any info on fabian Delphe at leeds and where he is going??
dudedog Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Nicko any info on fabian Delphe at leeds and where he is going?? rumours he has gone to villa for 6 million
Hughesy Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Im glad we havent looked at Beattie, he isnt bad, but id be gutted if we couldnt attract a better striker than him. We need a 15+ goals man a season. Taylor wouldnt be a bad signing either and is very cheap considering his talent. Just hope bolton dont get their first. How serious is our interest on him Nicko? Have we bid or even contacted them?? Anything new on centre midfield sitter??
Bennisfromheaven Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Ive got it!! West Ham reject second Blackburn offer for Craig Bellamy wishful thinking & poor journalism methinks!!
PAFELL Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Just thinking of other strikers previously linked with us...Tresor Mputu???....Christian Benitez??? Anyway, whoever it is hopefully they are quality! Gudjonnsen
Hi Mack Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I thought if RSC was going to go he'd have left by now! If City want to brag about how much cash they have, face the concequences! The strikers i can think of are: Janko-possible and in the mould of RSC Charisteas(sp?)- was being looked at in the summer Ivica Olic- As said before signed for Munich Zigic- linked with every club.......in the world!
Backroom Tom Posted January 12, 2009 Backroom Posted January 12, 2009 Is it just me or do we have a few more disguised Villa fans on here again, coincidence that its during the window?
Fife Rover Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 It's the price we have to pay for having the best footie MB in England
Hughesy Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Star full-back signed up..... Well in the future
Majiball Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 So a Striker, Good. Janko - I really do see this sort of striker arriving tall with an eye. However didn't last reports say they wanted 9-10M? He's never been this prolific before its far too much. Zigic - I can see a loan with a view. Has a reasonable goal scoring record, not my cup of tea though. Podolski - would be fantastic but its a bit too fantasy, I can dream though. I would like to suggest Fred or Frederico Chaves Guedes of lyon, isn't his contract up this summer? Should be cheap fee and wages, needs to get his career back on track, clinical striker, great scoring record.
Oklahoma Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Is it the Benfica striker Makukula or whatever or has he gone to West Brom? It was confirmed tonight by Benfica that he will gon on loan to WBA till the end of the season.
Amo Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 It was confirmed tonight by Benfica that he will gon on loan to WBA till the end of the season. Topman needs sleep. I read that as Podolski. WTF.
67splitscreen Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 If we are still interested In Cretien, we have competition, can't see us winning this one. While PSG are looking to recruit from the Iberian Peninsula, Nancy defender Michael Chretien could be on the verge of making the opposite switch as Primera División club Sevilla are studying the versatile Moroccan defender according to Goal.com’s French site. Jacques Rousselot, president of the Lorraine club, is not keen on letting his right-back leave. Sevilla.
Bobby G Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Looking at the possible options of strikers mentioned earlier in the season -> Benitez - Fast, smallish, strong, but supposedly injured long-term now. Mputu - Never played at a high level in Europe. Janko - Question marks over fitness. Talked to some Austrian friends of mine. They liken him to Santa Cruz, although I believe Janko maybe a more clinical finisher, but this is a guy who hasnt broken 20 league games a season until this year due to injuries! Cant recall other notable names. It would nice to get some pace in our team...
