bigbrandjohn Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 I hope we keep at 0-0 and then that is something to build on for game against City. Sunderland have scored 8 goals in 2 games so to stop them scoring has been impressive. "One of the worst misses this season,1 on 1" guess who
Tim Southampton Rover Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Oh man, i'm absolutely gutted after that.
1864roverite Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Jason Roberts you clown. How much time did he have to think about it ? Thats the simple reason he didnt score. MUPPET
novella Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Roberts you utter pillock! best not cost us later in the season. 2 clean sheets.... happy with that though.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 It feels like a defeat after seeing Roberts miss that.
Backroom DE. Posted December 26, 2008 Backroom Posted December 26, 2008 Very disappointed, if I'm being honest, we needed to beat them. A draw is just not good enough, and I think if we do go down it will be results against dross like Sunderland that doom us. They didn't even have a shot on target did they? Positives: Clean sheet, 2nd in a row. Got a point. Negatives: We can't score. Our midfield is useless without Dunn. Jason Roberts - get rid. He's cost us 2 points today by missing an open goal, and is not premiership class in any way, shape or form. We desperately need a right winger, and a left winger too, as MGP might as well not be there. Sadly more negatives than positives, not confident of staying up right now. We must, must buy in January. We will not survive with this squad. Can't believe how gutted I feel right now, it's almost like we lost.
RoversSG Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 No!!!!!!!!! How did Roberts miss that! I'm sure even Dickov or Grabbi would have scored that!
LeChuck Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 What an absolute clown Roberts is. He always looks like he doesn't give a toss when he misses as well. He shouldn't play for us again for a long time, hopefully ever.
imy9 Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Chin up lads, 2 games, no goals conceded and 4 points from 6. The table looks decent IF we beat Man City.
deftangel Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 That's a heart breaking miss from Roberts Benni put in a good shift today, set up Andrews for one. Much of our attack was punt it up field and hope for a knock down. He did pretty well in the circumstances. He'd have bloody scored that chance Roberts missed as well.
BRFC4Life Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Roberts should be the 1st man out the door in january, that guy is rubbish, missed easy couple of chances against stoke and now cost us 2 points. completely useless when we need all the points we can get.
Mr. E Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 What have you done Jason Roberts. What have you done. What have you done. He needs to apologize to every one of his team mates and every single Rovers fan on the stadium. Then he should go back to the training ground and practice scoring at an open net until he wears down 5 pairs of shoes. At 11:59 PM December 31st he should still be out there shooting, because that miss will go down as one of the most unforgivable ones I have seen in my life. Absolutely murdered us out of 3 points.
Rovers in America Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 I came into these 2 games thinking we needed 4 points from the two matches. That means we need to beat Man City on Sunday now.
Presty On Tour Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Roberts has ruined xmas! what was he thinking, just finish it! What a chance for a valuable 3 points! gutted!
novella Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Yeah we have got more points in 2 games than in 11 under ince. we are improving.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 I'll take a point but we should have won.......why does Roberts sh1t out one on one?????
Sysagent Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Just how crap is Roberts... No really how crap is he? My 10yr old daughter could have scored that! No matter another clean sheet against a team that is scoring goals for fun, also the Dingles have lost today! Hurrah!
RibbleValleyRover Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Draw is a fair result when you look at all the play and to get a clean sheet against a side that has scored 8 goals in its last two games is a decent effort. At the same time you can't help but feel slightly gutted that it could have been all three points. Man of the match for me was between Nelsen and Robbo, i think Nelsen slightly shades it for me. He didn't make many mistakes and made several key interceptions and tackles, his best game for a while IMO.
tony gale's mic Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Good performance, good defensive display, fantastic display by Nelsen in particular... But Roberts needs to leave the club. ASAP. That was utterly shocking.
philipl Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 That has to be one of the all time great misses. I was just thinking that the two players on the Rovers side lacking Premier League class were Andrews and Roberts and Jason went and did that. Nelsen was absolutelt magnificent but there were great performances all round including from Benni, MGP and Bert. Gutted for Dunny- he looked inconsolable coming off. Ugh- that miss. I am still in a state of shock. At least we have the sheer class of RSC to come back. Apart from that, today has re-enforced that there was only ever one thing wrong with Blackburn Rovers this season: INCE
