DeadlyDirk Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Nice Mokoena. He should be sold to Spartans. Come on now that's a bit harsh isn't it, as if he would get anywhere near their first team!

RevidgeBlue Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 What an embarrasment of a side Allardyce has put out. He's paid what, 2m p.a., to manage us in three competitions, not just the Premier League. Ditto the players on tens of thousands per week. This is ripe for the biggest upset of all time. Not happy, even if we fluke a win second half. The very least SA could have done is leave some firepower in reserve on the bench. If we go a goal down we've had it.
rover6 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Looks like Aaron Mokoena is playing for his transfer! He doesn't have to do anything for his transfer. He's leaving on a free in the summer, thank God. As for MR E querying why Moko is captain of South Africa, it might have something to do with the fact that, if I remember rightly, South Africa rank below Burkino Faso in the FIFA rankings. Treacy has looked reasonable but still sadly lacking that intensity. Judge, on the other hand, looks very promising - both talent and determination wise.

Were gonna win this comfortably they havent troubled us at all, even when we made the mistake. Jesus
Iceman Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 What a ###### disgrace. No wonder, these guys are not considered for the 1st 11 or so. Its a terrible game, and im thinking of going to bed now. The stadium is awful, the pitch rubbish, the lights are so low down you can almost touch it. This is a non league team, our under 16 team should comfortbly beat them, we are so bad its unbelievable. Mokoena, Simpson, Derbyshire are rubbish. I expected more from Derbs, but what a disappointment tonight.
tony gale's mic Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Give it a rest you miserable git. Were gonna win this comfortably they havent troubled us at all, even when we made the mistake. Jesus It's BLYTH SPARTANS we're playing. They're not even in the Conference, they're fighting relegation from the league below. We haven't really troubled them that much either, when you think about it.
Pugg Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 What an embarrasment of a side Allardyce has put out. Well it's a good way of checking out the fringe players. I definitely would have liked a better bench 'just in case' though.
RevidgeBlue Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Awful so far. Not sure why Sam insists on hoofing the ball up to two short men - can see where he's going with the pitch not being great but all our long ball are just being returned. Villanueva has been terrible, Derbs and Mokoena likewise, only bright spark so far has been Treacy. No matter what happens it's already a bit embarassing. I thought Villenueva and Derbyshire were the only two players showing any intelligence with their movement albeit Derbs finishing has been awful. As for the much vaunted pair of Vogel and Grella, JFHC, they don't look out of place at this level. Mokoena does. He's worse.
alexanders Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Revidge; You have to remember that SA is new and it is a great opportunity to watch the players. He said it himself that they are playing for their futures.
herbergeehh Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I was happy with the starting eleven, and I think I still am. Having someone like Gamst Pedersen or McCarthy out there would probably widen the gap, but this side will send us through, and we won't get our regulars injured.
brfc4ever Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 is it on TV in Denmark? Give us a HT report.... (no radio coverage at the top of the Andes!) Yeah its on, and that was the HT report....

Grow up and stop thinking real life is football manager 2008.
John Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I didn't expect free flowing football but the lack of quality within our team is embarassing. No ideas at all.
Iceman Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I take exception to that South African comment, but i agree we almost as bad as England. Lol
DeadlyDirk Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 im not sure, but i think the channel im watching has winterburn on commentary Me too, he isn't exactly bigging us up haha! Ah well more at home in the commentary box than on the backroom staff! Unchanged at half time

Iceman Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I dont have a clue about football? Hmm, indicate a positive from that 1st half Blackpool Rover. Ive been in football for almost 24 years now, as a player and now as a coach. You think that when you criticise the team, you dont know about football. You the one that should grow up, because you dont allow people to voice their opinions. This is a non league team struggling in their league, we a bunch of professionals that shouldnt have any problems getting past them.
jim mk2 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 This is a non league team struggling in their league, we a bunch of professionals that shouldnt have any problems getting past them. Football doesn't work like that : see cup upsets in google. Also, semi-pro football is very tough. Ask anyone who's tried to move up from Sunday football.
Iceman Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Stuwilky you another one that likes to attack others poeples posts. I have an opinion about the game, im saying what i can see is happening and its disappointing.
DeadlyDirk Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Football doesn't work like that : see cup upsets in google. Also, semi-pro football is very tough. Ask anyone who's tried to move up from Sunday football. Exactly, we were never going to hammer them, no matter how far apart the teams are in the cup, apart from now and again its usually only a few goals that settle it. They were always going to get a lot of men behind the ball and make it difficult for us, they'll soon tire and we'll get a goal or two. Were doing okay for a team that hasn't played together before. Edit: Athough, despite not playing together before our defence is a bit of a mess right now!!
Alex Rover Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Ive just read this, and am utterly in disbelief.disbelief at at the sheer predictability?
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Blyth battering us at the moment. Perhaps we should have put out a stronger team with a few youngsters on the bench, last thing we need is a replay.
Iceman Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Why am i the only one being criticised for saying, what a few others have also said about the game? You guys are far too sensitive
