Hello all,

long time reader, first time poster, blah blah blah.

Anyways I'm an Aussie who just moved to live in London about a month ago. Been a mad Rovers fan since the good old days of Jack and SAS (I'm 26 now).

I've been hoping to get to a game but haven't been able to get up to Ewood yet, however the upcoming game against Fulham will be the first time since I've been here that the boys have been playing nearby.

My question is this. How do I ensure I sit with the travelling Rovers fans in the actual 'away' section at Craven Cottage?

I have looked up the Rovers website, seen the allocation and seen that tickets are now on sale for non-season ticket holders. If I buy these though will they arrive in the mail in time?

I also looked up the Fulham website, however the three available bays in the neutral/away stand (P1-P3) may not be the ones Rovers away fans are in. Should I take my chances and buy some from there?

Finally, should I arrive on the day and hope that a) you can buy away section seating at the gate and B) they are available?

I have convinced my housemate, another Aussie, to join me. I am really excited for my first Rovers game, just want to make sure I get to sit among the faithful if possible.

Thanks in advance.

The Seven Bells at Putney Bridge will have Rovers fans there drinking beforehand. London branch usually go there. I will be there...always the best away game the Cottage.

I live in the south of the uk about 65 miles from London - so the fulham game is one I always go to. I have already received my ticket. I received it the following day from when I ordered it. As I already have a ticket purchase history with rovers they had my details and so no problem. You must buy your ticket from Rovers - by phone in your situation as they do not do the away games via the Internet.

Basically you get on the train at london Victoria and get the underground (district line) get off the train at putney bridge and the pub eight bells is just around the corner where rovers supporters will be prior and after the match and then there is a longish walk through the park to the ground. You will have no problems finding the ground as all the Rovers supporters will be going in the same direction. Hope you enjoy the game.

Be carefull tho as a couple of years ago they said would sell on the day but changed there mind the night before the game,

I once heard Fulham have a history of that. They have a neutral section and lots of tickets go there rather than to away supporters. so it is best to buy the ticket from Rovers - which often arives the following day.

Well my housemate has pulled out so I'll be going on my lonesome. Will order the tickets from Rovers, does anyone know if they are open on Saturdays? May be a dumb question...

As for getting to the ground, I live in Kensal Rise, so Fulham is only three or four miles south from me. On your advice though will take the tube from Queens Park to Paddington, then down to Putney Bridge on the District so I can experience the walk through the park. If any of you are at the Eight Bells I'll be the blonde bloke with the Rovers scarf and an Australian accent (need to buy a new Rovers shirt, left my old one at home!)

Cheers.

allo mate.

I'm from london too, booked my tickets through Rovers this morning and they assured me they'd arrive in time. Sent them first class for me. I always go to this fixture and once had to sit in the Neutral section and it was BRASS!. Dont, call Rovers ticket office (08712221444) and ask them if the tickets will arrive in time. Im sure they will if they send them first class, even if you book on Monday. Better to do it that way than take the risk and be dissapointed as the Fulham away fixture is usually very well attended by Rovers fans.

Will be good to have another rover in the stands with us!

Been to this fixture for many seasons and its always a good one (even if usually a draw!) so its a good match to start with.

Have a top time at the game mate

Sam

All booked. Ticket coming out First Class on Monday. Thanks all for your help!

See you in the Six Bells then. recommend the IPA. And the barman's wife is a corker. Keep your head up when ordering bitter but sigh loudly when asking for additional ablutions like pork scratchings. Which have reaching issues. Better than three points. Almost.

Reminds me of Deuce Bigalow with the girl and the fishes in the fishtank, or a drunk Homer with Maude Flanders "no no, the ones at the bottom"
