Why? Are you sure it is better and safer both economically and socially now eddie?

I've got to say that I don't personally know enough about this topic other than from speaking to the occasional South African but I'd be interested to hear the facts that you base your objection to lf's comment on. :huh:

I know a few South Africans who've told me their country is going down the toilet.

Until recently they had a health minister who said that AIDS could be cured by regularly eating beetroot and garlic. Mad.

From my understanding he may as well say that cos it won't make any difference whatever he says..... Nobody listens.

The previous premier, Mbaki, had unprotected sex, but believed that he could protect himself against AIDS by having a shower afterwards.

It's apparently a popular belief that you can protect yourself against AIDS by raping a white baby.

Crime is rampant, and people who complain about it are told to stop whinging or leave the country.

Apartheid is abhorrent, but life doesn't seem to have improved much, if at all, since then.

I'll be watching the World Cup from home, I think.

Not sure if anybody has already picked up on this but apparently our friend is making a hit on Facebook for his foulmouthed rants to a couple of guys who rang him up to complain about his diving on a football pitch. What Diouf didnt know at the time was that he was being recorded. I read the story in the Star yesterday! Not my normal paper you understand but it was left on the table where I was having lunch, There are a number of f-words so those of a sensitive nature need to keep clear!

Still unclear as to when this was recorded so he may have been still at Sunderland but it does nothing to endear the guy to anyone.

To me the guy making the call is an absolutle tool and deserves a good kicking.

Feel bad for the guy, he made a mistake and should be fined for it and should make an apology. Doesn't need a bunch of Celtic fans harassing him at home with prank calls.

Thats my point, what EHD said i that call isn't pleasant but come on two chavs ring him at home harrassing him and he's meant to sit and take it? I'm willing to bet this isn't the first call he recieved either.

Not to mention making nuisance calls is breaking the law.

The guys making the call are dead pleased with themselves for getting him to react but in honesty they look far worse from it.
