Eddie Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Diouf's spitting, shouting at the ref (sadly common throughout football) and some of his other actions are disgusting, unwarranted and unwanted, but what has always interested me is that his teammates regularly mention him as being a positive influence in the changing room.
Paul Mellelieu Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 The issue, surely, is what relevance does Diouf's religion got to the the rest of ASEF's post. I wonder if ASEF would mention that, I don't know Stephen Warnock, is a Christian (is he I don't know, don't really care), or what about Tugay, a muslim (except he's not black). No he won't. Wonder why?
T4E Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Turns out Tugay is a Muslim. I've idolised the guy for 10 years, and had to Google that to find out. Which only goes to show how relevant it is.
broadsword Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 You wouldn't be able to tell just by looking at him.
1864roverite Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 YOUR WASTING YOUR TIME,whilst spit the dog is at ewood the sheep will love him So not only is he is a Muslim he likes the wooly animals as well then ? Does that make him a muslimfollowingsheeplikerfootballernotlikedverymuchoutsideofblackburnkindofplayer ?
Blue n White Rover Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Turns out Tugay is a Muslim. I've idolised the guy for 10 years, and had to Google that to find out. Which only goes to show how relevant it is. Is he? AESF, like someone mentioned earlier, why don't you quote other players Such as Warnock, Nelsen, Samba, McCarthy as being Christians or the religion they follow? You backed yourself up by saying other journalists say it, but why not name other players' religion?
broadsword Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 It's obvious, he's a jihaadist with explosive spittle. His escapades so far have been just a test run for his final martyrdom mission. It's taken teams of muslim scientists working in burkhas months of work to get the chemical composition right so that it will stick to the infidel's scarf. Just chew on that next time you have a pork pie at a game.
patrickvalery Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Religion aside, I think he's been very disappointing. Thats not to say i've been impressed with his religious expolits!! They don't bother me either way.
Hughesy Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Religion aside, I think he's been very disappointing. For us??? Sorry but since he came in, along with Givet - he has been one of our top performers.
den Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 For us??? Sorry but since he came in, along with Givet - he has been one of our top performers. I've been disappointed too Hughesy - and I was all in favour of him coming in, as I rated him as a footballer. He's done nothing yet IMO.
T4E Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Is he? According to this he is - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...-Kerimoglu.html
waggy Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 i think givet has been exceptional since he jioned,as for spit he reminds me of gamst with a little less running
thenodrog Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 i think givet has been exceptional since he jioned,as for spit he reminds me of gamst with a little less running Less running? Must be mighty difficult to tell when only watching the telly through the bottom of a glass though eh waggy? Still I guess you know best.
Backroom Tom Posted March 11, 2009 Backroom Posted March 11, 2009 Ooh that pesky Muslim whats he doing winning us points we all know he's useless right? right?
tchocky Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Would anyone object if I abbreviated Spit the Diouf to STD from now on and until he has performed relegation-busting heroics that compel me to grovel in apology for doubting his ability and attitude? Certainly seems to have pulled his weight today. I'd say with a goal as well you're not far off that grovelling.
Mr. E Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Only watched the 2nd half but Diouf won us the game today, very determined performance - and he actually knows how to hold the ball properly when we need to waste time. If we had him for the ManCity game we surely would have hung on.
Hughesy Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 I've been disappointed too Hughesy - and I was all in favour of him coming in, as I rated him as a footballer. He's done nothing yet IMO. YET was the key word there. His performance and goal tonight was an inspiration to our fightback. Did you get to see that one through your TV waggy?? DIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUF!!!
ebenrocks Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 DDDDIIIIOOOOOUUUFFFFF man of the match today imo. worked like a pack horse. DIIIIIIIIIOOOOOOOUUUFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
joey_big_nose Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 With Diouf and Peds in 433 we now actually look balanced and quite dangerous. He played brilliantly tonight.
tonyoz Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 He is going to be a real asset I think. He holds up the ball so well and is difficult to dispossess..........often resulting in a foul against him. He enjoyed his goal tonight didn't he?
MCMC1875 Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I've been disappointed too Hughesy - and I was all in favour of him coming in, as I rated him as a footballer. He's done nothing yet IMO. Well he has now den. That goal might turn out to be the most important of the season...........
den Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Well he has now den. That goal might turn out to be the most important of the season........... Yep He gives us something that we've been missing since Bentley left - someone who can put their foot on the ball. By doing that he brings some element of control into the midfield,- and that's been badly lacking. I think he can get better though. He hasn't done it for the full 90 yet. Great signing for a club in our position..
LeChuck Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Great signing for a club in our position.. Especially for the money, look how much far worse players than Diouf go for and it's amazing really. As long as he doesn't do anything stupid then surely he'll become a bit of a fans' favourite. I must admit I had no idea how hard he works or that he actually appears to enjoy getting stuck in - has he always been like this? My one worry about him out wide was that he wouldn't offer enough defensively, but he's answering that and then some!
