thenodrog Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 You are also wrong to suggest that we can't do better than Diouf. We bliming well can. Burnley have got a better right winger than him - that says it all. I've noticed eagles has done well this season, but if he was better than Diouff then I'm sure he'd be playing in the Prem already. Burnley are desperate for cash yet Eagles went to Burnley when no one in the Prem wanted him, and we've just gone through a transfer window when no one in the Prem wanted him. Still I guess you must know better than all the combined Prem managers...... and that does say it all!
BRFC1995 Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Actually, I think you'll find that we're being rational and consistent. You, however, are being a hypocrite. You would be crying bloody murder if Diouf put that tackle in on Robinson. He'd deserve to be hung, drawn quartered and then fired into outer space. However, he's a Blackburn player so....of course, he's an economically prudent investment with a slightly irritating but harmless penchant for diving, cheating and behaving something like neanderthal man in football boots. You are also wrong to suggest that we can't do better than Diouf. We bliming well can. Burnley have got a better right winger than him - that says it all. on what evidence are u suggesting eagles is better than diouffy there ain't any, eagles is just a pre maddonna ladyboy beckham wannabe who plys his trade in a pish poor standard league and diouffys an international whos never been out of the top flight and is at this minute looking a great signing.
AggyBlue Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 You are also wrong to suggest that we can't do better than Diouf. We bliming well can. Burnley have got a better right winger than him - that says it all. We might be able to do better than Diouf but in January we couldn't. All Sams alternatives in January were either too expensive or didn't want to sign for Blackburn Rovers. If Diouf had been a first choice target we would have signed him at the start of the transfer window not the end. As for Burnley, do you mean Eagles? The guy that completely froze against Arsenal in the cup recently, consistently giving the ball away.
ABBEY Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Some stupid people really p1ss me off! I cannot stand misplaced sanctimonious attitudes. We are potless BRFC. We cannot pick and choose the worlds creme de la creme. We don't need to ask Ronaldo to know that he won't sign for us ffs do we? But Diouff has signed and for little money and he is a vast improvement on anything that we have had since Bentley went to Spurs for 17m. And what do some shallow dreamboat thinkers want? 3rd Div football and the likes of little Johnny Price (RIP) tear arseing down the wing! And if they dont get that its what they bloody well deserve. It appears that Jack Walkers real legacy is a lot of spoilt brats who think they are supporters, and worse still think they understand football chapter and bloody verse when in reallity they know sweet FA about owt. probly the most truest post on here for many a moon.
Mozzer Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 some people just arent going to get over the diouf signing.. i actually think he is doing good for us, and at 2million we have a got a bargain.. i cant believe people say he has no skill aswell-werent talking about diouf here, not robbie savage.. why dont people just get over the past and back someone who is wearing the rovers shirt-hes doing a good job and is far better then the options we had on the right wing before..
Parsonblue Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Sounds like Spit is on form today. Picked up a yellow card, should've been sent off and involved in a fracas with the opposition. People say that the ends justify the means. I say, Diouf is not worthy of the Rovers shirt. As one who pays to watch the team home and away I say he is worthy of the Rovers shirt on the performances we have seen. He is the same type of player as Speedie and Bellamy - were they not worthy of the Rovers shirt. Yes they are not choirboys, but they add that little bit of spice and aggression that all teams need. We have had plenty of players who have put their foot in on occasions - Keeley, McNamee, Joyce - to name but three. Diouf is the type of player who will help keep us up. I've supported this club when we were at the foot of the third division and playing in front of crowds of less than 5,000 and it's not something I want to experience again. If Diouf can keep us in the top flight then is more than worthy of the Rovers shirt.
thenodrog Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 i cant believe people say he has no skill aswell-werent talking about diouf here, not robbie savage.. Correct Mozzer. To suggest that he's no skill is just plain stupid even by the standards set by some on here. When he was in his early 20's he was African player of the year for 2 years running.
American Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 eagles is just a pre maddonna Nah, Madonna was around way before Eagles....
jonv Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 DIOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUFYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
LDRover Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Im sure Rover6 is a dingle or a fan of another club. Diouf makes one dodgy tackle and once again he should be in jail because of it. As for LDRover - what do you know! Says the man/boy who backed Ince until it was physically impossible to do so. Seems everyone can have an opinion, as long as it's the same as yours.
MCMC1875 Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Nah, Madonna was around way before Eagles.... *edit*

However - like him or loathe him nobody can doubt his commitment. At a time when fans are doubting the commitment of certain Rovers players I am surprised that he gets the stick he does. Parallels to Speedie and Bellamy are totally justified - Bellamy is a nasty piece of work - but I bet 90% of the people complaining about Diouf would have him back in a flash.

thenodrog Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Eagles went to the dingles because he was not good enough for the premiership - simple really Correct. btw ... Ped I think you should be addressing that to rover6.

Hughesy Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Eagles???? Ha ha ha who suggested him? He isnt even the best right winger in the championship - infact he isnt in the top 3. He plays well, once in every 7 or 8 games and that is in the championship!! What an awful right winger he would be against the premierships best! We already have one awful winger in Treacy, we dont need another!
gazsimm Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 this is guy is VERMIN no waggy i think you are vermin, He has been excellent since he has joined this club and if you was a real Blackburn Rovers fan you would know this.
