jim mk2 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Hopefully he'll regain some pace over the summer and return a more useful player next season ... but on current form Emerton will push him out of the side. Is Diouf competing with Emerton for the right back position ?

thenodrog Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 This flaw was quite badly exposed today, Tugay put EHD into acres of space a couple of times with great passes but the momentum was lost because Diouf chose to do some 360 degree pirouettes around the ball.Hopefully he'll regain some pace over the summer and return a more useful player next season ... but on current form Emerton will push him out of the side. I prefer to think he was waiting for players to get into the box. He skinned the full backs on numerous occasions imo. As I mentioned before Benny seems strangely reluctant to do that of late and big Chris does not have the necessary poacher instincts. He did get a lot of of his crossing opportunities in though and they were of good quality.

I keep thinking is it me or does El Hadj look busy doing nothing. He takes the ball up to the opponent then..................................we just have to wait and hope for next time. Can only see the Rovers crowd putting up with it for so long.

Needs to improve imo.
sambo Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Diouf frustrates me, its like the game is in slow motion when he receives the ball. And his corners....no pace at all!
Guest benmaxwell Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 We should get Bentley back during the window and have Diouf as a bench option for LM/RM... He didn't look at all bothered yesterday...
LeChuck Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 A quote from Sam on the Rovers website today: "whilst we just got Dioufy for a million" You can't really argue with his contribution for that price. Hopefully he can shake off whatever niggling injury he was carrying last season and add more pace and trickery to the effort and determination he showed last year.
Amo Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Ewood E-males: El Hadji Diouf. I'm glad he shrugged off 'that' dive against us. Yeah, we hated him for it, but it sounds petty to keep dredging it up all the time. What's done is done.
Hughesy Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Iv seen some negative comments on here about Diouf on saturday - personally I thought he played fairly well and he turned Wayne Bridge inside out a couple of times and whipped some good crosses in. He works hard for the team - hence why he is a Blackburn End favourite.
Big Fat Sam Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 He's the only player in our team who really runs at people with the ball. I like him and I'm glad he's a rover.
Mr. E Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Ewood E-males: El Hadji Diouf. I'm glad he shrugged off 'that' dive against us. Yeah, we hated him for it, but it sounds petty to keep dredging it up all the time. What's done is done. read that too. Basically he says "I did what I had to do for my club". Fair enough, but I suppose it's a shame then that diving isn't really practiced at Ewood, or we could have benefited from these type of "contributions" ourselves.

I think there was more laughter/groans than appeals. but to stay on topic, I quite like Diouf, he was our only player that when we went 1 nil down; tried to keep the teams head up and I think this got the crowd goin a bit too.
alexanders Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 "But only players with skill can pull off flash cars!" Hahaha..

yellowsubmarine Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Wonder if Diouf and MGP fight over the mirror in the dressing room?
Gav Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 read this weekend that spit has his eyebrows done before a live game, what a bloody tart I hate him even more now
rover6 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Wonder if Diouf and MGP fight over the mirror in the dressing room? Seriously, Gamst fighting Diouf? I think Diouf has the mirror every time. I'm still dreaming of someone ousting Diouf from the team. Odious character and average player. Shame most of our midfielders are sub-average, making Diouf stand out.
Backroom Tom Posted September 7, 2009 Backroom Posted September 7, 2009 I hate him even more now Joke right? You'd hate a Rovers player more on the basis of his personal grooming routine? Do you pick your favourite players based on boot style or hairdo then?

If we continue down the 4-2-3-1 route he'll excel on the right hand side...
Graham Fenton Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 He's a disgrace. check this before you sing his praises He's vile
