thenodrog Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 I'm just saying how it's percieved these days Theno, either way I think the whole thing is Very Good, people are just too damn sensitive these days. However I'm not sure the phrase 'White Boy; has ever caused any real hurt to anyone I don't think you'd want to hear it in the likes of downtown JoBerg or Harlem when you were walking home from the pub.
gumboots Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I don't think you'd want to hear it in the likes of downtown JoBerg or Harlem when you were walking home from the pub. You'd have to be blooming daft to be walking home for the pub in the first place there!
philipl Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Diouf not helping matters I notice no action is being taken against Bellamy or Neville so if Diouf would belt up this should go away without any disciplinaries.
thenodrog Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 He's totally cracked. Radio Monte Carlo ffs. Why has he not been told to keep his mouth shut for his own good?
Hughesy Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 He's totally cracked. Why? He pointed out that Everton fans have it in for him, he told the press that the Lino heard everything and told him not to worry and the police interviewed him for just 3 minutes after tha game. Its the Everton fans who caused the trouble and they then gave him V's etc...
broadsword Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Because he's claimed that Everton fans threw bananas at him, when there's absolutely no proof of it. He must know he'll get found out, or maybe he believes his own lies? Your ra-ra cheer-leading is getting incredibly tiresome, everything has to have a positive spin, pathetic.
DP Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Hang on. How do we know our beloved Sun hasn't conveniently misquoted the Senegalese radio interview? Stick a controversial story about Everton in there and hey presto, get some much needed business from 1 half of Merseyside.
broadsword Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Also in Telegraph, Times and mail, and quite possibly a host of others.
Hughesy Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Ever heard of being mis-quoted. The paper goes on about John Barnes and Bananas, then they say El Hadj said the same.......Unless You have a copy of the live interview, then it smells like Bull S##t
broadsword Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Ever heard of being mis-quoted? So, what did he say instead? they threw invisible bananas at him?
Spansterkid Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 According to an Everton fan at the match he did get a hot dog thrown at him, maybe he just assumed it was a banana???
broadsword Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Must've been a bit off, or completely slathered in mustard. Waste of a good hot dog I say.
philipl Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Sam doesn't expect anything to come of this.
rebelmswar Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Sam doesn't expect anything to come of this. "An Everton spokesman said: "Our only concern is a child protection matter involving a 14-year-old boy. We have spoken to the police and have been told that is the only investigation they are concerned with and that they are not investigating the behaviour of any Everton supporter." Bloody child disrespected an adult, Diouf should have skelped the scaly around the lug and had done with it. The world is mad. Child protection?!?! Its not like Diouf took off after him with a tire iron or something.
waggy Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 spit really makes my blood boil, the ball boy threw the ball to me like he would throw the dog a bone,is this guy for real
67splitscreen Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Just seen a copy of the Mail. talk about a witch hunt, admittedly Diouf has not helped the case with alleging fruit was thrown at him. The mail say that over a thousand pictures have been analyzed and at least 20 photographers asked if they saw anything, that together with the search for the fruit turning up nothing would seem Diouf has distorted the truth. What should have been brushed under the carpet if not found to be true has now become headline news.
gazsimm Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 just because it's Diouf the press are having a field day with this. What about the stupid fans chucking things at him? Move on!
waggy Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 just because it's Diouf the press are having a field day with this. What about the stupid fans chucking things at him? Move on! bet you would not say that if spit played for anyone else
gazsimm Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 bet you would not say that if spit played for anyone else depends if he had done anything to warrant to get on his back. He has let himself down in the past, like many other pro's have, but up to now i am quite happy to have Diouf to be playing in the blue and white, because he is a very good player!!!!!
Gav Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Diouf is a complete and utter t****r of the highest order, he should have never played for the club in the first place. Nobody threw bananas at him, its just complete cr@p and disgusting for Diouf to even suggest such a thing to get himself out of the trouble. Scum bag
67splitscreen Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I think it's fair to say with many rovers fans Diouf was on parole, in there opinion that parole has now been violated. Others will just brush it under the carpet as petulance or over reaction from other parties. It's hard to judge when it's still unproven, as I said earlier his comments to the press don't help.
mellison24 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 This aside from the fact that 3 everton supporting mates claim bananas were thrown at him. They told me this on Sunday before it became news. Obviously Diouf ain't lying.
