Diouf is a complete and utter t****r of the highest order, he should have never played for the club in the first place. Nobody threw bananas at him, its just complete cr@p and disgusting for Diouf to even suggest such a thing to get himself out of the trouble.

Scum bag

:angry2:

I love these sort of reactions, priceless.

Diouf was one of our better players on Sunday and is doing well, long may he wear the blue and white halves.

Keep it up El Hadj :P

This aside from the fact that 3 everton supporting mates claim bananas were thrown at him. They told me this on Sunday before it became news. Obviously Diouf ain't lying.

Personally I'm on the fence with this one, 3 say they saw the incident others say they didn't, plainly then the jury is out.

Thing is, aren't both sets of supporters bound to jump on their respective band-wagons? Again, having said that, it depends on perspective etc etc.

I've only really been reading the tabloid headlines on this one.

If he was on parole with Rovers fans, what has he actually done wrong to break this parole?

Nothing as far as I'm concerned. So 'something' happened, worse than Neville at United same weekend? Not at all. It's rubbish.

I'm not an English teacher but he seemed to refer to himself in the third person- " All this is not El Hadji Diouf. I have not done anything ". It's worrying when people start referring to themselves in this fashion. Funny farm next stop.

Hang on, maybe I should be English teacher- there's a double negative in the second sentence.

Leave the lad alone - He plays in Blue and White and gives his all - he was also key to us staying up last season.

End of.

Yeah. Good 'team' player on and off the pitch imo. Volatile and unpredicatble temperament without doubt but when we scout and trial and sign players for the club I don't imagine that diplomatic skills are ever taken into account so why do we expect them to be honed to perfection?

Diouf will of course get loads of stick from the Burnley fans on the 18th. He's one player I'd love to score in front of them at the Darwen End.

I appreciate that this messageboard is for all to voice their opinions, but come on, it's a Rovers SUPPORTERS messageboard. Why do so many constantly come on here knocking players, management, prices, etc etc when we should be looking at positives? Other clubs must find it hilarious that more often than not, posts on here are knocking the club, the management and the players.

Diouf gives 100% for 90mins every time he pulls on a Rovers shirt, he's not exactly my idol but I respect what he does for us on the pitch and that's what counts. If all our players gave as much as Diouf does week in week out we'd be sitting a little further up the table. I'd rather he was playing for us than against us.

Diouf gets stick from all opposition fans, and he loves it. Lets all give him the support he deserves while sporting a Rovers top.

Where's the double negative ?

What a boring site this would be if everyone simply toed the party line.

Constructive criticism is welcome by all, constant boring criticism of everything to do with the club is just not welcome in my eyes. It's on every Rovers related thread.

What some see as "constant boring criticism" might just be a difference of opinion to others.

For me its more worrying that he is seeing invisible banana's.

What's all that about? Anyone else (one of the hundreds of cameras perhaps) see a Banana thrown?

Nothing different about it den, it's the same boring drivel. Diouf, Big Sam, Andrews, the dreaded relegation 5 games into the season, the board....

It's just not a Rovers Fans website to me.

End of what? He has made a claim that he was racially abused, evidence points to him making it up. That’s acceptable behaviour to you because he plays in blue and white?

Fundamentally I think the argument is: What's more important morality or football?

...and for those of us who value morality above football (and loyalty to mercenary footballers) have to accept we are not true supporters, yes?

He has made a claim that he was racially abused

...apparently. It came via The Sun via Radio Monte Carlo...that's hardly a credible source, is it?
