Stunned at this comment for Allardyce you won't see many worse tackles or more clear red cards, he seems to forget the fact the lino was right next to it as well. This comment makes Allardyce look like a prick and he should retract it.

Totally agree TrentVilla, i'm appalled, shocked and very angry at Allardyces comments.

The big Wolverhampton dummy Allardyce, needs to refresh himself with the laws of the game pretty dammed quick after making these comments about the Diouf challenge.

I'm raging at Allardyce.

So what? I never said O'Neill was a saint, that doesn't make your managers comment any less stupid.

As for in house fighting, it happens or have you forgotten about Batty and Le Saux?

Completely agree, and what relevance Martin O'Neill's conduct has to Allardyce making an arse out of himself i do not know.

Read the full article - he simply stated the ref was some distance away and should of consulted with assistant, as the ref had a poor view. Diouf did a nasty tackle but he didnt actually 'get' Beye as he jumped the tackle.

Sam admitted it was stupid & in a pointless area....simply pointed out that Webb wasnt close to it.

Nonesense. I have read it and its clear he didn't think it was a red as for the refs view there was nothing wrong with it he was able to see perfectly clearly that he went in two footed.

He didn't need to consult his linesman, his linesman saw the incident, flagged, the ref also saw it and gave it, the fact he didn't consult the linesman to me suggests he didn't need to.

He didn't get Beye? ######. He made contact ok he didn't break his leg it doesn't make it any lesss of a red card or mean Sam isn't talking crap. How he can watch the reply and say its not a red is beyond me.

I'd also like to know given his position on the touchline why he seems to think he had a better view than the ref.

Whats the point having an assistant if you dont value his opinion?!

It takes Webb 5 seconds - 'was it a sending off - yes or no'.

Thats all im pointing out.

What planet are you on Hughesy. Theres only one defined answer YES!

Get that DIOUF OUT OF BLACKBURN ROVERS - now ! IF the manager wont then the manager has to go!

IF, the board support the manager who supports this mongrel then the board has to go!

Diouf offered balance and tenacity to the side last year when we needed it, but now he's very much a liability who's getting found out at PL level. He should be one of the first players out of the door, but who will take him off our hands is another matter altogether.

I'm surprised anyone can defend Sams interview on this, you could tell from the lino's reaction he knew it was bad and I don't see any reason why the ref should have consulted him it was as blatant as blatant gets

My opinion hasn't changed on him, he's an embarrasment to football and has been since his younger days, people make jokes about Pele putting him in his best active players lis.

The thing is when that was published, although it was partly to include people from all around the world, Diouf was actually a very promising player, unfortunately he cared more about money, fame, what others thought of him, his appearance, his bling, his next holiday and basically anything except for what he's doing on the pitch.

I hope when he retires he looks in the mirror and realises he f**ked up and only has himself to blame for his stalling career and bad boy reputation. You're not hard done by Diouf, you're just a c***.

I came on here and said when you signed him that I was sorry to see throughly decent club like Rovers sign a person like him, I think he is a stain on the reputation of the club. I don't doubt he has ability and I even understand the footballing reasons why he was signed and the important role he initially carried out for you, still its a shame to see a person like that at a club like yours and being paid so well for the priviledge when he so clearly takes it for granted.

You cannot count that TV that wasn't 'in house'. :rover:

Surely it'd be less trouble, less fuss and a bloody site easier for you to go Jal.

It was the right decision then, hopefully they'll agree that its now the right decision to offload him.

OK JAL lets pretend that you are the manager and that you have decided to get rid of a player that has 2 years left on his contract and is earning 30+k pw.

Rem the rules at ewood are that you have to get him out before you can get anyone else in which is something which you are surely going to have to do as we cannot afford to be a man down in the squad.

So how will you go about offloading him? What is your initial move and what is your overall plan? Off you go.

Beye was defending him rem! Given that fact then the linesman should certainly have been consulted. Also lets be honest... Diouff is not a known villain or hard man is he? It was out of character for him.

imo It certainly wasn't a good challenge but I'm not bothered about the tackle as much as the irresponsibility in leaving his team down to 10 men and him being unavailable for 3 matches. That is the issue that I'd take him to task for if I was his manager.

Just to be on the safe side I'd make sure that he reports in for training every day if I were Sam.... it might all be a scam to go to that African cup for a jolly. <_<

It was a disgraceful challenege and there was absolutely no need for it whatsoever. It was a definite red and anyone who says otherwise is having a laugh. I am ashamed it came from a Rovers player. Add to that the fact he left his team down to 10 men when already 2-0 down and when he was needed, it was just ridiculous.

for me Gibson just got away with one for united, clear two footed tackle only a yellow, safe to say if it was Diouf he would have been off

not thought of that ,but it would not surprise me because he doesnt care about the rovers.

The hope did cross my mind that he needs to be made to sign in each day for training whilst the ban takes place. Now I know that it is absolutely no excuse, but the trigger was that pretty hefty shove that Beye (?) bestowed on Diouf and the tackle was his reaction. An experienced player like Diouf should have learned NOT to react in such a way.

No defence!

How an earth Sam can defende this tackle is beyond me(34 seconds...........It makes his outlook on a game questionable..............I have an idea....Why doesnt Sam put in a Objection to the sending off and prehaps the FA might increase his punishment to 4 games!

Extremely good point. The challenge just came out of nowhere, there was nothing to wind him up beforehand, nor any reason to make it.

It wasn't like he was preventing a goalscoring opportunity or anything.

Sam might be doing his take on a wenger "I didn't see it", kind of playing the tacle down.

He might not want to publicly slate diouf too much in the press but one to one it could be a completely different story.

Its good man managment in my eyes.

Might not want to publicly slate Diouf? He's just come out and slagged him and too others off in the press for a lack of effort. But he doesn't want to do it for an absolutely disgraceful challenge?

You've been drinking Hughesy's KoolAid. For you there's always a reason to excuse things, nothing is ever allardyce's fault.
