Finished my second year of med school last month. Just three years until I get my degree. Then another 1½ to get my medical license, and then another 5-6 years to become a specialist and start earning some real money.

Did you take another degree? I want to be a QS but they all seem to have a HNC in Construction and a QS desgree. No chance i am returning to college and university this soon after leaving.

PGCE to be a History teacher i gather? Good luck, hope it all works out!

You can work your way up to being a QS in the construction industry without the qualifications, it just takes longer. I work with a couple of QS's who don't have the qualifications but understand the job on site as well as having analytical skills.

I have a HNC in Building Services, but that hasn't got me anywhere, only my on tools experience, who I know, a lot of ambition and more importantly my trade.

Graduated last week studying Journalism..... Freelance copywriter for many 'exciting' websites at the moment...but starting an Internship in Australia for 6-12 months in November, with the Australian Sports Commission. Some PR role I presume...unless I get the job as a junior reporter on one of a number of positions across the UK I've applied for.

But also applied for Boots!! It's a biggie!! :D
