Wish Boro got a goal vs Villa. That said, their display at St James' was so pathetic they probably deserve to go down for that alone. If Hull stay up then they'll be dead certs for the drop next season, along with Pompey probably, which leaves one relegation spot for our six fingered friends...

SkySports haven't mentioned Rovers yet. Amazing considering it's a massive day for all concerned...

So if Newcastle lose to Villa, and Hull dont beat United are Hull down with Boro and West Brom?

It's as simple as this. If Newcastle lose to Villa. They are relegated...

1700: That point for Hull is enough for them to climb out of the bottom three with one game remaining. They host Manchester United next Sunday, while Newcastle travel to Aston Villa. Middlesbrough are clinging on by their fingernails. They need to beat West Ham, hope Hull lose and also make up a goal difference deficit of four. In other words: Gareth Southgate's side are all but relegated.

Thanks to BBC

Christ. It's ten minutes after the final whistle on a round of games which has seen the champions crowned and a potentially decisive day in the relegation tussle...why on earth would they mention a team who haven't even played today?!

For goodness sake, this is getting silly. They mentioned us being safe last week because that was the result that kept us up. I know it wasn't quite mathematically, but we were safe. The only massive thing about today (from a Rovers point of view) is that Bolton didn't win, which keeps them within striking distance, and that Wigan are still within reach.

because we we were 99.999% safe and not worth the air time!

Exactly, results down the bottom no longer concern us. They, and most normal people, considered us safe last week.

They have mentioned Pompey about 3 or 4 times?
