1864roverite Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Looks like there is going tobe a cracking atmosphere tonight. Coventry are expecting 20000 plus home fans for the 3rd game in a row. I wonder if playing in a 3/4 full stadium might tempt Rovers to produce more fluid football rather than just sitting back and taking chances
JAL Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Santa Cruz has to play....he's in good scoring form. Agree with the goal scoring form but sub for me tonight, Roberts and Benni need to prove their worth if not then Roque to come on. It was interesting when Samba went up front last time the Cov lads just could'nt cope with him in the air hope Sam can push him further forward tonight.
Jan Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Agree with the goal scoring form but sub for me tonight, Roberts and Benni need to prove their worth if not then Roque to come on. Hold on a minute. Who is our top goal scorer this season?? CLUE- it isn't Roque
kandi Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Hold on a minute. Who is our top goal scorer this season?? CLUE- it isn't Roque So what?
philipl Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Clip of Sam talking to the BBC about tonight's game and the midweek fixtures coming up
colbert Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 anyone know where to get a pre match beer in coventry? and where is the best place to park? Never been to the new ground before. Thanks
1864roverite Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Thats me done. Shower, Rovers shirt on then its off to Coventry for the game. Going for a few beers and a meal then hopefully, the game can be settled in 90 minutes. Hope that Rovers progress but the reality of it is, is that I wont be too disheartened if we lose. Do not want ET or penalties tonight otherwise its a late one
JAL Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Hold on a minute. Who is our top goal scorer this season?? CLUE- it isn't Roque True not disagreeing just think the others need to pull their finger out by being given an opportunity, if they dont take it then Roque is on the bench as insurance ready to replace them.
Sparky Marky Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Hold on a minute. Who is our top goal scorer this season?? CLUE- it isn't Roque Benni and Roque up front...has to be every time..Roberts misses sitters all the time.
Fraserkirky Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 My team for tonight would be Robinson Simpson Zurab Givet Olsson Axe Tugay Warnock Villaneuva Roberts McCarthy Rest Samba,Nelson, pedersen,RSC,dunn, grella, ooijer for the weekend. Andrews doesn't play because he is rubbish.
CAPT KAYOS Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Watch out for the ref its another quality one
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 He's the only one remotely "Burnsey".
modes98 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Benni and Roque up front...has to be every time..Roberts misses sitters all the time. Benni and Roberts work well as a 2. Benni and santa do not. They don't seem able to work on the same. I'd go with Benni and Roberts with the option of Santa if he is needed. We need him fit for sunday.
bob fleming Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Caption time everybody! Despite being very pleased with himself Big Sam's Hitler impression was poorly received in Coventry due to a sub standard goose step and too full a moustache.
EwoodGlory Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I would rather see Roque and Benni starting every game together now, if they can get a partnership working, then, barring injuries, we will stay up.
Jan Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I would rather see Roque and Benni starting every game together now, if they can get a partnership working, then, barring injuries, we will stay up. I'm not sure trying a plan that has failed repeatedly and expecting it to suddenly be a success is anything other than a definition of madness.

Backroom Tom Posted February 24, 2009 Backroom Posted February 24, 2009 After seeing him everytime he's played I'd love to play a team of: --------------Givet--------------- Givet---Givet---Givet-----Givet Givet---Givet---Givet-----Givet ---------Givet---Givet---------- Failing that: ------------Robbo---------------- Simpson--Nelsen--Givet-Warnock Carlos----Moks---Dunn---Pedersen ---------Santa---Roberts-------- Although the cup is not a priorty, confidence is needed and a win here coupled with the good performance on saturday should have us on a high going into the real big games. A loss and heads may drop. No injuries has to be a priorty as well. 3-1 Rovers Santa Dunn Carlos
