den Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Brown, Samba ©, Tugay, McCarthy, Khizanishvili, Mokoena, Villanueva, Simpson, Treacy, Olsson, Roberts Jeez!
pksrover Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I cant find the game anywhere. The game is at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, try Google Earth
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Brown, Samba ©, Tugay, McCarthy, Khizanishvili, Mokoena, Villanueva, Simpson, Treacy, Olsson, Roberts Thats what i call a weak side, can't blame Sam though as we have a 6 pointer against Hull coming up. If that is indeed the side then we will either scrape through or get dumped out.
John Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Brown, Samba ©, Tugay, McCarthy, Khizanishvili, Mokoena, Villanueva, Simpson, Treacy, Olsson, Roberts Not sure what to make of that team...just re-iterates how poor and scarce our midfield options are.
brfc4ever Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Brown, Samba ©, Tugay, McCarthy, Khizanishvili, Mokoena, Villanueva, Simpson, Treacy, Olsson, Roberts Subs: Robinson, Warnock, Nelsen, Santa Cruz, Pedersen, Givet, Doran
Presty On Tour Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Jeez! At least Andrews isn't playing hey
Al Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Brown, Samba ©, Tugay, McCarthy, Khizanishvili, Mokoena, Villanueva, Simpson, Treacy, Olsson, Roberts Surely not! Is it really worth stepping on to the park with that line up?
Eddie Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I actually quite like that team. I probably wouldn't have played Treacy, but apart from that I probably would have gone with the same bunch.
Exiled in Toronto Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 At least Andrews isn't playing hey Pound to a penny that, far from being dropped, he's being saved for Sunday. If BFS was going to drop him, he'd have done it by now. But hey, he's only been in professional football for 40 years so I think he should listen to the experts on here!

That is why Andrews has been involved so much.
McClarky Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Oh dear. So that's probably 2 first choice players playing then. I suppose we should be able to beat Coventry with this team but I just don't get the resting players argurment at all, espacially with 5 days to go before the next game. RSC has scored in 2 games and is looking sharp, well he ain't going to get better by sitting on the bench for an hour is he. It's bleedin' ridiculous. Good news that the game is on 5LX. You get pretty uninterupted coverage on there without having to listen to those 2 clowns on radio Rovers. Just how bad do they have to get before they get rid of them?
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Brown, Simpson--Samba ©--Khizanishvili--Olsson Villanueva--Mokoena--Tugay--Treacy McCarthy--Roberts 2-0 Coventry then.
Balwer Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Championship quality team against Championship opposition. Only Samba and McCarthy/Roberts would be starters in our best XI. Hope we win, but if we don't I'm not going to lose sleep since Sunday is the big one. Agree with the above sentiments regarding Andrews. He will be in the squad on the weekend and with Grella's injury concern most likely starting next to Dunn unless Axe has a blinder today. I'm wondering who they're going to bring on for Tugay, who surely won't play the full match. Warnock to midfield? Switch the formation? Will be interesting to see.
John Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Whilst we don't play until Sunday, we have Everton a week tomorrow, so probably just resting our best players for our next two league games.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 If anybody wants to join LiveChat a few of us will probably be in there. Only me, Yoda and Hannah in there against United.
rover6 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Looks like Villaneuva's being hung over the precipice on the right wing, again. With Cov's left back, England U21 international, Fox, being attack-minded, I think that, unless we're dominating, we'll have problems on that flank - again. And by my reckoning, this is last chance saloon for Treacy. (In reality it won't be but in my mind it SHOULD be). They're missing Scott Dann which is a bonus for us, cos he's useful defender.
Alex Rover Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Kick-off has been delayed until 8pm due to traffic delays getting to the ground.
Derbyshire Blue Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Bloody Robbie Savage on commentary for his expert view !!
RovertheHill Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Bloody Robbie Savage on commentary for his expert view !! Not on Radio Lancashire. I notice that sicknote and sicknote too aren't even on the bench - are they injured again?
Kremmin Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Does anyone have a radio comm link for those of us outside the UK?
LeChuck Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Great cameo (albeit on the radio) of Roberts: "Jason Roberts is away, he's too strong and too quick for the Coventry defence...but the pass is over-hit". Paraphrasing slightly, but you get the idea.
bazza Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Kick-off delayed to 8pm. Rovers started brightly passing well for 20 minutes. Then started hoofing it forward. Coventry now on top. Commentator says Rovers are wanting half-time to come soon. WTF??
Derbyshire Blue Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Bloody Robbie Savage on commentary for his expert view !! Robbie's been pretty good... good comments... take it back
