Balwer Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Sounds like it could go either way at this point. Will be interesting to see when/if Sam brings on the experienced players.
Balwer Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Anyone watching the game?? It doesn't appear to be on anywhere?
Balwer Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Rovers res have won 2-0 Who was playing and who scored?
Alan75 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Who was playing and who scored? mainly youth team, scorers Marrow and Lowe. Spit played for 60 min.
bazza Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 The Phantom of the Opera scores with a free header, unmarked.
rover6 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Pathetic selection by Allardyce. Villaneuva on the right? Mokoena and Tugay. Just stupid, stupid.
Stuart Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Pathetic selection by Allardyce. Villaneuva on the right? Mokoena and Tugay. Just stupid, stupid. Just says to me where the FA cup fits into his priorities. With the potential for extra time and penalties we need fit, uninjured players for the weekend.
LeChuck Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I wonder if Allardyce would have gone with a stronger team if we'd got a better draw than Chelsea? Let's be honest, we'd have very little chance of going through the next round anyway.
Kremmin Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Yep. Be nice to win but not too bothered. But lose to Hull on Sunday and that's one more team we won't catch.
rover6 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 No because the team in the original tie was equally pathetic. How anyone can play Villaneuva on the right wing is beyond my comprehension. Asking for defeat.
Backroom Tom Posted February 24, 2009 Backroom Posted February 24, 2009 Just shows to me big Sam thinks the risks of any injuries outweighs the pro's of a cup run.
only2garners Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 No because the team in the original tie was equally pathetic. How anyone can play Villaneuva on the right wing is beyond my comprehension. Asking for defeat. I think you're confusing Sam with a man who gives a damn about the cup this year.
bazza Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Villanueva and Treacy replaced by Warnock and RSC
Balwer Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 4-3-3? Warnock and Roque on for Treacy and Carlos.
Stuart Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 No because the team in the original tie was equally pathetic. How anyone can play Villaneuva on the right wing is beyond my comprehension. Asking for defeat. Ditto my last post. Chelsea or not, and much as I would love a day out at Wembley, the FA cup isn't the most important thing for Blackburn Rovers FC at this moment in time.

Chelsea or not, and much as I would love a day out at Wembley, the FA cup isn't the most important thing for Blackburn Rovers FC at this moment in time. Careful, you may get slated for that viewpoint Jisty! Though i have to say i totally agree.
onlyoneDuff Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 with the way things are at the club at the moment, I would think the TV and attendance money would have been useful...but more importantly, losing to Coventry going out of the Cup bother me aquite a bit as a supporter
Iceman Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 We still have loads of opportunities to play fa cup games every season, but premiership football you cant say the same.
Balwer Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 We still have loads of opportunities to play fa cup games every season, but premiership football you cant say the same. Well said.

And with the greatest of respect to our fans on here the FA cup not been supported greatly this season - even at home. The game isn't over yet, so I'll be careful with my words but whilst it would be nice to win tonight it isn't the end of the world if we don't.
