Guest Kamy100 Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Rovers defender Stephen Warnock in an refreshingly open interview has warned that you are never to good to go down. Talking to the Lancashire Telegraph Warnock said “We should be where we are because that is where we are. You are never too good to go down. “You only have to look at the West Ham team that went down years ago with the likes of Cole, Carrick, Defoe. You can carry on through the list of players that went down. “No one agrees with that at the club and we understand we are in a bad position. We know we should have won games but we haven’t won games and that is why we are in this position.” “We looked at our last phase of games, the last six, and we did go on an unbeaten run but we feel we should have taken more victories. There were winnable games against teams in and around us and it is just disappointing. “We know we are more than capable of winning games coming up.” Warnock has also said that the FA Cup is not a priority "It may sound disrespectful but the FA Cup is nothing to us this season. "For the club, the Premier League is all that matters. If we win the FA Cup and go down it won't mean a thing. "The manager has already said that people's livelihoods are at stake. Jobs are on the line and that falls to the players."
