DanLad Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I went to Chesterfield a few weeks ago. An old, concrete and corrugated iron, ramshackle place. The gents involves you widdling on a wall. Old, wooden flip down seats. As far from the modern day, football experience as you can be. (apart from going to watch Stanley/Elgin City etc?) I loved it. Lots of character. Really brought back memories. Saltergate is getting pulled down at the end of the season (hence my visit) for a new out of town ground. Shame really, but on the other hand I don't blame them. Serious risk of splinters from those seats!
