snatchymcsnatch Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 (edited) Why? Brad's a legend, he deserves a warm welcome back to Ewood. Only chant i'll be singing is "Friedel Friedel Friedel Friedel Friedel "! Give the guy some credit. He's gonna get a great reception when he approaches the Rovers end and he fully deserves it. When the game kicks off though it's down to business.... How about: "Friedel, give us a goal, Friedel Friedel give us a goal" - chant it loud and long (especially when we have a corner) If we do score we can berate the Villa fans with: "Friedel's still a rover, Friedel's still a Rover Na naa na naa!" I'm sure the big guy will see the funny side when the games over. Edited August 12, 2008 by snatchymcsnatch Quote

Hughesy Posted August 12, 2008 Author Posted August 12, 2008 Quality - I like it! We have terrorised some players at ewood in the past few seasons - the best being Rio, he got so wound up, scored an own goal and also then got sent off. That will live long in the memory. Quote
bubblerrovers Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 How about "you'll only be here one year" sung on repeat or "We're just a stepping stone, we're just a stepping stone" I for one will only sing ROVERS songs, players come and go, Rovers for ever Quote
Sparky Marky Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Quality - I like it! Yep, if Capello was at that game, he would never become captain of england....He was visibly stressed with rovers fans having a go. One of the best recent games at Ewood for atmosphere.... Quote

J*B Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Being new...I have to ask. What is Amo / Oma - Who or what and is it related to Barrack Obama? Both Amo and Oma (Amo backwards) refer too Lorenzo Amoruso, the towering central defender who is a household name, in every household worldwide. Quote

Or one for the doomsday people: Where small, where blue, were selling our stars too Super Rovers, Super Rovers Quote
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Well even if there were people crying 'Ince out' they weren't very loud because I heard no such thing. Few boos when Fowler come on, that was it. We heard: Guy #1: Come on Robbie! Guy #2: *in booming voice, pretty sure he heard it* You fat git! Quote

S15 Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Indeed. Telling Amo to 'Get into um' would be a huuuge mistake. Quote

S15 Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 In fact on second observations can you hum a melody and post it Hughesy. I just cannot for the life of me hear one in my head for the ending. Quote
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 It works when you think of a jaunty tune. No really, it does. Quote

Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 It has a bit of "The Holly and the Ivy" jaunty tune-ness about it. Quote
