ABBEY Posted November 8, 2009 Author Posted November 8, 2009 Some sad news for bronco fans Barrelman is suffering from lung cancer..met him in az ...top fella.
sleepyjack Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Incredible game on right now as Tampa Bay are about to win their first of the season against the Packers. Colts just went 8-0.
RibbleValleyRover Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Packers losing to the Bucs Rodgers been sacked 4 times this game. God this Offensive Line is crap.
sleepyjack Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Saints just made their third amazing comeback in three weeks to go 8-0. Starting to look vulnerable to the run, but the D keeps making huge plays at important times. The defence has more touchdowns than entire Oakland team.
Gav Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Couple of great games on Sky tonight both going right down to the wire.
Rovermatt Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Shameful capitulation from New York. They should have had it wrapped up following the late interception but failed to put the game to bed, allowing San Diego to march right up the field and get the TD they required. They now go into their break on the back of 4 losses. They'll not make the play-offs now and it's probably deserved. Changes needed desperately.

They now go into their break on the back of 4 losses. They'll not make the play-offs now and it's probably deserved. Changes needed desperately. To many penalties and blitzes. Rivers just stepped back and picked his longer passes. Webster managed to get to a fair few but you can't expect him to get them all. The worst bit about it is that if Tynes had bothered to kick the ball on the first drive of the game then we would have been home easily. Some big plus points from the game but the holes in the secondary and in the long range passing game are clear to see. God we need Phillips back!
sleepyjack Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Why did Brandon Jacobs only carry 11 times when he was averaging 6.1 YPC? Why'd they take him out at 3rd and 1 in both the first and third quarters? The playcalling sucked for the Giants tonight.
Exiled_Rover Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 (Please don't use that word again) me is Fox still in Charlotte? Out coached by a prick in a visor, you should resign. We had our foot on the neck of the Saints (who looked rubbish quite frankly) and then eased up and played soft cover 2 zones despite getting no pressure from the front four. Pathetic.
ABBEY Posted November 9, 2009 Author Posted November 9, 2009 SSTUPID SKY + ...WHY THE CHUFF CANT IT RECORD THE WHOLE FLAMING GAME GRRRR HOW DID EAGLES GAME END UP GRRR
sleepyjack Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 There'd be a long queue at the unemployment office if every coach beaten by Sean Payton this season had to resign.
Redrose49er Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 From 3-1 to 3-5, at least we have first round picks
Exiled_Rover Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Nah, Fox is out coached by everyone, I just think Payton's a prick.
ABBEY Posted November 10, 2009 Author Posted November 10, 2009 6-2 ah well better than i thought we would do.
doctorryan Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 You guys need to get the ball deep more often Abbs. T.C. & Troy (our safeties) were able to cheat in all night in both mid-yard and obvious passing-down situations. Your DB department is a little too grey IMO, but if those geezers can stay healthy for January they may be able to steal one or more for you.
RibbleValleyRover Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 The Packers have a tough game against the Cowboys this weekend, historic rivalry between the two teams going back to the 60's. I've been watching clips on youtube of the Ice Bowl game of 67. It's going to be interesting to see what Packers side turn up. If the offensive line isn't up to task then DeMarcus Ware will be licking his lips. I'll also be watching probably the game of the week, well the one getting the most coverage anyway. Brady vs Manning. The Colts appear to be in great form, but Brady seems to be starting to slowly get back to his best as seen with some of the plays with Moss and Welker.
sleepyjack Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Sorry to say because I like the Packers and detest the Cryboys, but I think Green Bay are in for a torrid time. Your OL is one of the worst in the NFL and your receivers have been dropping way too many balls. Rodgers is a pretty good quarterback but has no protection and no confidence in where he's throwing, so Ratliff and DeWare are going to have a sack-happy day. Your own pass rush key, Aaron Kampman, is probably out. Probably the only player who can win you the game is Ahman Green. Or Tony Romo, but he's not scheduled to fall apart for another three weeks.
awhom111 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Cutler can be downright poor... But I'll take my Niner wins any way that I can get them.

I agree it will be a very tough game, its pretty obvious what the two main problems are, the Offensive line and the number of penalties they are giving away. 37 sacks so far this season (the league highest) and 62 penalties (also the league highest). I was watching the Vikings game and Johnny Jolly head butted Chester Taylor, shortly after a touchdown resulted. They are making stupid ill disciplined mistakes at some of the worst possible times. Rodgers is putting up decent numbers, he has also shown he can make plays on the run after his o-line crumbles but really he is taking far too many sacks. I also think he should be throwing the ball away more out of bounds to avoid the sack.
ABBEY Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 man we sucked 2nd half without orton. gb and cowboyzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz 0-0 300 left in 1st half.cure for insomnia.
RibbleValleyRover Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Packers defense playing well, but at the same time we just don't look like putting points on the board atm.
Exiled_Rover Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Romo had about 1 second to throw every time he dropped back to pass. The Panthers avoided the sweep by the Falcons, though once again they were completely out coached in the second half. Fox doesn't know the meaning of the word 'adjustment'.
sleepyjack Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Surprised and really glad that the Packers won. Still a lot of areas to improve but so does every team. My unbeaten Saints made a real hash of getting past lowly St Louis today, which makes me very worried for the Patriots MNF visit in two weeks.
