Esulx Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Merson is saying it's all Blackburn at the moment. Could even be 2-0 up already but havent taken the chances. Am also fed up of the p*ss taking I get from my Hammer mates, and my sister, as we've been beaten in the last 6 games in all comps. It's about time we won against them. EDIT: Alan Judge has just scored for Plymouth aganst the Dingles.

67splitscreen Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 I can't see us keeping this pace up for 90 min. Warnock sky's one into the top tier. Then Noble bags one. 0-1
reybr Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 west ham 1 - 0, wonder if we will ever beat them Should have been disallowed for offside. Poor decision by the linesman
G Somerset Rover Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 We can't afford to lose today with some of the fixtures we still have to play. Can't see us getting back into this one with it being West Ham plus our lack of goal-scoring ability.
BRFC1995 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 had us down as losing this but staying up by 1 point on my predictor, needing to beat wba on last day. time to take moko and lazy arse mccarthy off.
BRFC1995 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 reading through the match action mccarthys name is'nt mentioned once, not even carlos could be that invisible
Iceman Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Typical Rovers, all over the opposition and concede a goal. This is a very important game, as we have some really tough games coming up.
Nate Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 We've been all over them, but with them getting men back and out lack of a good finish, we find ourselves behind to an offside goal.
Lathund Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 reading through the match action mccarthys name is'nt mentioned once, not even carlos could be that invisible He's not had a great game, but he hasn't been invisible either. We've been the better team by far, but haven't defended their counter attacks very well, and not taken our chances. If we keep playing the way we have though I can't see us not scoring.
Guest Kamy100 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Posting from a very disgruntled Jack Walker Upper Tier. We have been hopeless, one dimensional football which is to hoof the ball forward, West Ham coping fairly easily with it, lovely goal by west ham.
Pinch Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Well we've certainly been picking up points the hard way as of late. If Benni comes off, who comes on? Carlos?...for the entire second half? How has the Axe been playing today? He'd be my candidate to withdraw, but I can't even listen to the match today...so keep the updates coming lads.
Sysagent Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 The West Ham goal was clearly offside by all of 2 yards, it was more obvious than the disallowed Rovers goal... We better come back in the 2nd half all guns blazing like the 1st half but actually take our chances, looks a good game we have had 5 goals on target to their 2 and all the possession has been us. Still sticking with a 2 - 1 result for us.
Rover Down Under Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Surely West Ham cannot get ANOTHER lucky win?! If we could finish like that Noble we'd be 5-1 up. Great game, we gotta go for the win though. Looking a bit exposed down the left at times, hope Sam can sort that out for 2nd half or we might ship another and then it's all over...
insiderover79 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Whatever happened to the " we are going to fight for every point " attitude??? Its a massive 45 minutes ahead for the boys.
rover6 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Not a good report from Kamy. It's nice of Allardyce to put Villaneuva on the bench. A useful token PR ploy from the Professor. It makes him look as if he might get his team to play football at some stage in proceedings. (But of course, history tells us that Villanueva will not actually be called upon).
Gamst Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Posting from a very disgruntled Jack Walker Upper Tier. We have been hopeless, one dimensional football which is to hoof the ball forward, West Ham coping fairly easily with it, lovely goal by west ham. Would have to disagree with that. Whilst we have been playing rather basic long ball stuff, caused havoc in West Ham box and had spells of sustained, high energy pressure. Neill having a terrific game im afraid. Watching a stream and whilst the goal was a lovely finish, Boa Morte was miles offside in the build up. When will we get the rub of the green against the Hammers. They are so damn lucky! Can't see us turning this around im afraid. Mokoena has been shocking and McCarthy invisible.
Mr. E Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 If Arsenal had the freedom we had this half they would be 10-0 up. We can't do anything with our chances.
Guest Kamy100 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 This is not a great game this far, Green has no saves to make. It is all well and good to be direct but we need to have variety or it becomes predictable. Big second half.
RovertheHill Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 sat in the bbe watching a large area of grass between defence and attack full of west ham players. Caught a glimpse of warnock in there but no sign of mokoena. I believe they call it midfield
