I tend to back off when defending rather than pressing them. Hopefully this will minimise the space left with a 3 man defence like it would if I played high pressure. These players who are trained up to 99 everything must cost a fortune to make. Pace cards go for about 4000 each and only improve the pace by 2 points or so. Crazy.

IM struggling to sell off players at the moment hence not been able to build a decent squad yet. Fritz, Moretti and Defoe all havent sold yet. Surprised no one wants Defoe.

Iv sold defoe before - sell him so that he ends around 8-10pm at night (busiest times on fifa).

As for players being worth 20k - quite a few go for way over that amount - like Torres, Villa, Ronaldo etc.

I tend to drop deeper too, no pace cant get through me, and if they do, they have Buffon to deal with - he's quality!

Got a good deal before. Got one of the gold spanish managers with +3 negotiations with an 80 game contract and the 3-4-2-1 for just 200 coins. Bargain.

I've just put Moyes up for sale as I have got Renknapp. Same stats but he's English so it means I go from 99 to 100 chemistry.

On a different note I bought some MS points and spent them all on 6 gold packs. I only got one player who was rated above 81 (Forlan).

What are ms points? 90 percent of gold packs are rubbish, didnt you get any formation cards or anything that fetch a high price at auction?

Ive bought Kalou and Keita now hopefully will eventually save enough up to get drogba for an ivory coast frontline. Also have adriano and Luis fabiano so will try get 1 more brazilian forward to complete a brazilian frontline for my 2nd team. Other than that ive just been converting my existing players to 3-4-2-1 and sorting out contracts.

microsoft points. You can use them to buy hold packs. I think sony have a similar system? I bought ronaldinho for 3k today. Also got jo and adriano. I've realised that you don't need all the same nationalities or favourite formation to get 100% chemistry. I also bought an 86 rated david james for 1500 coins!

Around 2k i think, but ages ago now. My Drogba is now rated as 90 and has 242 goals in 161 games.

Anyone else having trouble selling players at the moment. I cant sell anyone at the moment. Ive had Fritz (RB 81) with 99 pace and some other modifications with a decent contract on sale for 1,500 buy now for about 4 days now without a single bid!

Ive had to change the formation from that 3-4-2-1. Was horrible to defend with, people just used the wings all the time and had loads of space. Changed to Hughseys 4-3-2-1 now but cant buy anyone as my playes arent selling.

Il swap you Nasri for Aguero? Nasri is 4-3-2-1 others aint. Utaka RF & is Nigerian.

Messi - check what he's going for, if its 50k + then sell him. I havent had him but everyone I know who has, says he's over-rated.

I looked in the auctions to see what messi was going for and everyone was putting way over the top reserves on. Like 40,000 starting price. Hence no one was bidding so couldnt really see his proper price.

Ive just bought Higuain for 1,800 coins so going to have a frontline of Aguero, Higuain and Messi.

Ill sell Adriano and Luis Fabiano and try get drogba to go with my Kalou and Kieta.

Anyone want Adriano (3-4-2-1) or Luis Fabiano (4-1-2-1-2). Fabiano is a good striker.

I had about 30 players and items for sale at one point today. Now down to about 12. Bought another couple of gold packs with the trade money which resulted in messi.

I play the standard 4-4-2, and because it's a popular formation there're plenty of players available for it. Never had to buy a formation card.

Any that have 4 defenders really. Most teams play with 3 attackers so if you only have 3 defenders, it will get very difficult.

Ben - what was the lowest buy now option for messi?

Sold messi as I had a 92 rated Cruz, 85 Higuain and 84 Aguero so didnt really need him. He went for 20k which is around what he goes for at normal auctions.

With the money bought another gold pack, Bidding on a 98 rated zambrotta, bid on a bunch of 4-3-2-1 cards and bought an 88 rated bonera. Ive more or less bought and sold a whole new squad today.

Dont realy want to make my team tooo good. Dont really want 99 eveything like other ppl have as there wouldnt be any challenge and it would get boring

Im not sure but I think I could have got more. I put him on for 2 days and after only 1 he was at 40k and went then for 55k buy now.

Torres, Ronaldo, Villa all fetch top dollar.

I also think you could have got closer to 30k for Messi to be honest.
