OhmiBRFC Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Rovers are not even in Lancashire - or if you wish to insist they are, then so too are the Manchester and Liverpool clubs - either way you are not top of the heap. WUM.

Billy Castell Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Two words to blow the Dingles' loveability with the media: Alistair Campbell. That aggressive, boarish, document fixing 4th rate former pornographic novelist is a Burnley fan.
mellison24 Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 For me, it ain't just Burnley (altho it wud be nice to have a derby or 2 against them). I want as many NW teams in the prem as possible so i can go to more away games. I also hate the southerners so thats even more motivation lol
Presty On Tour Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Some races are longer than others and I'm looking forward to Leeds v Millwall tonight. I think it will be very competitive on and off the pitch with Millwall just edging it!

philipl Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Leeds staying in the third division. Won't be easy for them next season either with Southampton, Norwich and Charlton surely all looking for just one season down there. Very impressed by Millwall's Jimmy Abdou this evening- the only player on show who might cut it at Premier League level.

If I was Leeds I wouldn't be too worried about them, Charlton are abysmal and Southampton are likely to be heavily fined in points, with their financial troubles and all that.
RevidgeBlue Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Very impressed by Millwall's Jimmy Abdou this evening- Agreed. Thought he was very good as well. Was looking forward to seeing Jermain Beckford in action but thought he was very disappointing.

Very impressed by Millwall's Jimmy Abdou this evening- the only player on show who might cut it at Premier League level. Beckford might score a few at the top level, but every time I've seen him this season he has behaved like an obnoxious prat. So would rather do without. Todays result is karma for Beckford's despicable conduct when Leeds played Millwall in February. He elbowed their keeper in the face, and laughed about it in the post-match interview on Sky because he thought he'd got away with it. He was banned retrospectively. Unfortunately youtube have removed the evidence, but it was a real shocker. "Nothing happened" he said with a grin. "I never touched him" 34 goals this season but thankfully nothing to show for it. What goes around comes around loser. {OMG, am I turning into AESF }
Exiled_Rover Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Beckford looked atrocious today - missed a penalty for a start, but looked like he couldn't control a ball at times. Certainly he's found his level, he'd be laughed at by Prem defenders.

waynerovers Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 I'm very pleased that leeds lost, I live in Leeds and hate listening to the self rightious often delusional fans. To see them all come into my restaurant at ten looking depressed was a delight to see. On top of that one of my friends was over the other day, got very drunk and insulted everyone at the party for supporting teams that their dads supported (sounds silly but he was extremely loud and obnoxious and was lucky noone hit him, even made the calmest guy there angry). Anyway I told him its fans like him that make Leeds one of the most hated clubs in the country and it would serve him right for acting like a ###### when they failed to get promoted. Needless to say I had the last laugh... hahaha ha ha x

You missed the words "County Council" after "Lancashire" in your post. Either that or you're geographically clueless. So to help, here's a map. Hopefully you can spot the word 'Blackburn' under the larger word 'LANCASHIRE'. We're certainly closer to the word 'LANCASHIRE' than your shower anyway. If we're not in Lancashire then pray tell which county we are in please? Any ideas?

I think he's on about Blackburn being a unitary borough and not under the auspises of Lancashire County Council. Burnley admittedly is but is a short drive away from the North and West Yorkshire borders and, given their ridiculous accent, might as well be in Yorkshire.
