longsiders1882 Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 New England Shirt - The Process. http://www.umbro.com/#/?country=EN&page=process Designed by a lad from Burnley - I assume not many will be sold in 'Blackburn With Darwen'? If the possible design leaks are close it really will be the dogs - best football shirt in an age.

Dont see why not, its England after all, full credit to the lad who designed it but can it really be that difficult to design.
Alan75 Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Americanisation of the date Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr what is wrong with day-month-year.
bobsterbrfc Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 are the leaked designs your referring to the plain white, almost tennis shirt liek ones? i really like it as well, very classy.
American Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Americanisation of the date Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr what is wrong with day-month-year. Ever try to sort English date folders on your computer?!?
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Looks like a primary school cotton shirt.
broadsword Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Yeah, weird! Just so long as it doesn't have a cheesy star above the badge for the one world cup win, talk about tacky.
SD4E Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Designed by a lad from Burnley - I assume not many will be sold in 'Blackburn With Darwen'? nobody wil care- just as Thwaites Ale is on sale and sells massive amounts in loads of Burnley pubs & clubs, including Burnley Miners, and even Turf Morgue! none of you lot boycott it because it is a Blackburn Brewery. UTR.
Gumbi Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 No it's real. Apparently it was taken from an Umbro catalouge that has been sent out to some places. It also matches up with what is shown in the videos on the Umbro site. The star is on there but it is white. The number on the back is red and is more of a retro style compared to the current ones used. It's thought the names are going to be in white. What would be nice is a blue and white halved version with a Rovers badge instead of an England one but seeing as the kit has been designed specificially for England it's unlikely to happen. We will probably end up with a template similar to the new Republic of Ireland away shirt or the Malaga shirt
Shabani Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 that ireland collar is a blatent copy of our old kappa shirts
texasrover Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 i really hope thats not it. i dont mind the simplification of the graphic elements, but that collar is just horrible. keep the collar minimalistic like the rest of the shirt, and it could well work. as it stands, however, the collar looks like a bad throwback to the seventies and unfortunately takes the rest of the shirt with it.
laughatthedingles Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Many believe it to be this, which does bare a striking resemblence to the Ireland design.
Rover9 Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 That looks schyzen! The old school design is bang on for me, the new Rovers kit to follow the same style would be neat
broadsword Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Err I don't like that! Yeah, that looks absolutely awful.
ABBEY Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 if its been designed by a dingle has he left the "hump " out or will we have to iron it on a wok and does it have 3 sleeves?
CAPT KAYOS Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Whatever the design ... as with all footy shirts nowadays the badge is too big imo.
Hughesy Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Both kits are poor if close to the design. Really dont like the second one, the classic one I could maybe get used to. Hope the sacred Blue n White halves dont follow any of them designs. Does anyone know if the club plan to have a halved away kit next year? What was discussed by the fans forum on this issue?
laughatthedingles Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Having watched the umbro video, I am 99% sure it is not the one I found and is actually the other shirt. One interesting thing will be how do they replicate the badge with the opposition teams on for replica's, if they miss it off the badge will be very different!
