Plan A - Aim to finish in the top half; hoping to get a half decent start and be relatively comfortable by Christmas.

Plan B - have a good go at one or both cups.

Plan C - fight for survival.

Plan D - hope to challenge the top 4 and have a squaek of winning the league.

Here's how it goes.

Start with Plan A. If A is successful then add Plan B. If A fails then adopt Plan C and ignore A and B. (This season).

Plan D is no longer available to clubs like Rovers (and 15 other teams).

Plan E - create European super league for top 4 and their friends in high places.

Plans A to D now available for everyone. Life is better.

And after plans A - D there comes E which = no tv money, where's the paddles?.
