1864roverite Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 The shirt is quite smart when you see it in reality. There is a lined background ont ehf ront and it looks quite smart.

Tim Southampton Rover Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 I think the shirt looks great despite hoping they would have kept the away halves. I expect the reason why we didn't use the halves for the new shirt is because we are probably going to keep the black and red halves which have proved popular when our first and second kit match with the opposition.
Shabani Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 Nope, the navy kit has been confirmed as our 'third' shirt
Stuart Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 http://www.sportsdirect.com/Products/SD/PI...olCode=37914733 Sports world direct whatever is selling the shirt for £35 if you can't stretch to £40 "Show your loyal support at Ewood Park wearing your new Rovers away shirt whilst watching your favourite players such as Roque Santa Cruz, David Dunn and Benny McCarthy" Great sales pitch! Wear the away kit for home games! Loyally support your current-wantaway-striker, crock-10-match-a-season midfielder and former-want-away striker! Oh, and it's £4 P&P so you might as well get it from the club shop and avoid giving the profit to Mike Ashley!
Mr. E Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 the white shirt is beyond awful. We're not Bolton FFS. I'm much rather have something in yellow, or at least halved.
Amo Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Still disgruntled by the new away kit, I thought I'd ask if anyone likes the idea of red & black check?
Stuart Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Still disgruntled by the new away kit, I thought I'd ask if anyone likes the idea of red & black check? That probably wouldn't look too bad with the black box / white lettering sponsor. That said I think we are suffering generally with the current sponsor logo in that it looks pants. I sincerely hope they don't stuff up the new home shirt.
67splitscreen Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Still disgruntled by the new away kit, I thought I'd ask if anyone likes the idea of red & black check? My biggest gripe with all the shirts over recent years, is the background for the sponsor, like the current home shirt, the black looks like it's been added after the shirt was deigned, in some cases this is probably the case. It all started with Asics in 93/94, there have ben a few without the Patch. Perspex and McEwans from 90/93, Lonsdale in 05, and bet 24 for two previous season, but I hated the bet 24 anyway. The blue and white, red and black halved shirts are the buis, but something has to be done about the puncture repair on the front. Like the new shirt we just have the logo in black, so if a sponsors text colour clashes with our colours they have to change the text colour. It looks 100 times better. IMO. On your check shirt just add the name in white.
martmitch Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 link doesnt look so bad to me in the meet the players gallery, it could be growing on me, gonna look at one seriously this weekend at ewood
RoverRich Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I think the shirt may be growing on me as well now. It does look a nice shirt when it is on its own but when you see the picture of the full kit with red shorts and socks, that is when the kit does not look so good.
SamTheShrew Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 i too will take a closer look when at ewood on sunday. even in that photo alas, it still looks like something the design guy came up with whilst taking five minutes on the toilet
Hughesy Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I got it last weekend and the shirt on its own is nice. Iv had many friend comment on it being a nice shirt, and none of them support Rovers..... Maybe its just our fans that dont like it!
roversmum Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Wonder what the new home kit will be like... I don't think I even want to go there, please not another daft picture with bits ripped off as the days go by... Tho' as it has to be blue and white halves at least they can't muck about that much with it. Got a new away shirt today. Mr Roversmum made the mistake of asking me if I would like one
RoversFanUSA Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Hey does anyone have a pic of the new fulham home and away kit?
American Rover12 Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 I hated it. Now I kind of like it. I agree with some posters before though, maybe it just looks horrible with the whole getup and all. Think I might be getting one.

Mr Roversmum made the mistake of asking me if I would like one Hahaha, bless Mr Roversmum. Still not convinced by that away kit. If we went for white, maybe took that blue bit out, and maybe went all white then. However red shorts and socks, makes it look like we forgot our red matching shirts at home, and quickly scrambled for the white shirt.
eddiewac Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Well I saw it at the weekend, hasn't changed my mind unfortunately
Hughesy Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Its not been decided for definate yet - the club are looking to open a new club shop (smaller scale) in blackburn town centre - and the plan was to launch the kit their when it opened (mid-late July) but that isnt looking like it can happen now in time so it may come slightly earlier.

There used to be a small club shop in the town centre, iirc? In the back of a shoe shop or something. I actually think it will do better in line with the new ticket promotion. Let's hope so.
Hughesy Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Yes due to the new ticketing electronic system we have, we can now put a shop in town and it will work with that system so that its easy to see available seats.
DanLad Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 link doesnt look so bad to me in the meet the players gallery, it could be growing on me, gonna look at one seriously this weekend at ewood Warnock looks manic in this photo!
