mode_m Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 That is the purple or blue colour kit i was referring to. Thats nasty, as well as that Flowers circus top. Flowers' top inspired by the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

sparky12 Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Please, cn174, some people might be having a late dinner. Does anyone know how long we're contracted to Umbro? Haven't been impressed with their stuff AT ALL. Here's hoping Kappa will someday make their long awaited return. I think it's a 5 year deal.... But I totally agree with you the standard really hasn't been up to par imo
Tris Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Does anyone know how long we're contracted to Umbro? Haven't been impressed with their stuff AT ALL. Here's hoping Kappa will someday make their long awaited return. Didn't like last years home kit so didn't buy it, but I think this new one is the best for several seasons (in fact since Kappa). It looks good and actually feels like a quality shirt, which last years didn't. As for the away kits, Umbro have produced the red and black halves which everyone loved, thus giving themselves a bit of a problem with the next one. That was the dark blue effort, which actually sold really well and was always much in evidence at Ewood on matchdays. This years away kit got slated by a few people on here, but the evidence in sales and out and about around Blackburn is that it's flown off the shelves since being released 2 months ago.
brian_gallagher85 Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Tim Flowers wore some crackers in his time at rovers http://cache2.asset-cache.net/xc/1230950.j...0F55034CEB503EE http://cache1.asset-cache.net/xc/1231862.j...0F55034CEB503EE Flowers had some brilliant shirts, but this lad takes the crown for the best ever goalkeeper's kit
Backroom Tom Posted July 14, 2009 Backroom Posted July 14, 2009 I think Campos designed all his own as well, legend
brian_gallagher85 Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 If I remember correctly I think he even had his mum make them
Iceman Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I think Campos designed all his own as well, legend Indeed a legend Tom. Very acrobatic, for his height.
roversmum Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Flowers had some brilliant shirts, but this lad takes the crown for the best ever goalkeeper's kit You wouldn't like to play against him in it, though, it would play havoc with the eyesight...
Presty On Tour Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Apparently Campos now owns a Tortas fast food franchise called Sportortas-Campos! They look damn tasty too!
Iceman Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 You wouldn't like to play against him in it, though, it would play havoc with the eyesight... Or you could be hypnotised lol. Imagine you take a penalty, and the keeper moves side to side. Hahaha
Billy Castell Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Newcastle try to cash in on the girly girl market.
Drakefyre Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Campos also scored 38 goals in his career ... cracking player.
Rover down South Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Campos also scored 38 goals in his career ... cracking player. Jose Luis Chilavert scored 62
BB9 Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Jose Luis Chilavert scored 62 Rogerio Ceni (Sao Paulo's keeper) has scored 83 goals so far
Drakefyre Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Campos scored more from open play than either of them
Hughesy Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Does anyone know how many shirts we usually sell? did someone once say around 5000? Sorry if its already been asked and answered earlier. Found out for you - usually around 15,000 - however when you compare it, Everton sell no less than 50,000 and sometimes get up to 80,000 sales on new shirts.
Kandevil Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 We could have easily ended up with the Atletico Bilbao shirt design, I like it apart from the collar. Anyone on Facebook who wants to keep up to date with latest kits that way: facebook.com/footballshirts
BlueWhiteDynamite Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 did anyone notice the new home shirt is slightly different to the images shown a few weeks ago, and although the changes are only small, it does make it look a lot better.
super_arran Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 did anyone notice the new home shirt is slightly different to the images shown a few weeks ago, and although the changes are only small, it does make it look a lot better. How different?
BlueWhiteDynamite Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Mainly to do with the trim near the neck area and the bottom of the sleeve. on the original image all the stripes were the same width, but on the kit the red is more dominant, and i think it works beter (or maybe its just me!!)
Mafioso Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 I've just received mine 3 days after ordering it (overseas). Very very happy, very classy shirt indeed.
MancVillan Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Some of the kits this season are looking pretty awful to be fair!
Hughesy Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 I've just received mine 3 days after ordering it (overseas). Very very happy, very classy shirt indeed. 3 days from Uk to Malta? Very good service.
