HemelRover Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I bet the next piece to be revealed will be the feet! Spot on. The feet and legs have been revealved. And theres no colour either. Very silly idea by Rovers marketing.

CrazyIvan Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Reminds me of one of those girlie pens kids got from holiday destinations that you tipped upside down to reveal the woman in all her glory, but without any of the fun. Think if I tipped my monitor upside down the picture would reveal itself?
alexanders Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Its exciting. Showing one piece at a time and then adding the colours.
Hughesy Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 They should of added the colours 1st and then when they revealed each bit it would be abit more exciting.
tony gale's mic Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Yeah I'm guessing they'll show us the outline (whether it's halved, striped, plain) and then add the colours, which makes sense. If they just showed the colours right away it'd only take three or four days.

Iceman Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 This is stupid. If the kit was brilliant, then people will buy it. Teaser campaigns are only there to excite people, but in many instances it ends up being a disappointment when all is revealed. Its a big risk pre ordering, and those who have might regret it. Btw, if you pre order will you get it before anybody else? I assume you wont, so doesnt make sense if you can just wait until the launch.

I assume you wont, so doesnt make sense if you can just wait until the launch. Depends on your outlook on life. Take a risk! I would assume that it would reach you on launch day ie. 14th May, so the only people who will have it will be people who turn up at the club shop. However I assume the kit will be fully revealed in the next few days anyway judging by the picture a day reveal.

Im thinking the idea of the pre order, is to get some sales going in the event the shirt turns out to be rank bad.
rovgers Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 This teaser campaign is a bit like an advent calender, without the chocolate!
b12_simon Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Im thinking the idea of the pre order, is to get some sales going in the event the shirt turns out to be rank bad. Don't ask me why but I've a feeling we're due another lighter blue home shirt.
Mc Love Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 According to some who have pre-ordered the shirts and ordered numbers, the numbers are black! So i am thinking it could be a yellow kit
roversmum Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I just get a bit cross with all this nonsense. Just let us know what the kit looks like for goodness' sake, why the need for all the secrecy?
rog of the rovers Posted May 7, 2009 Author Posted May 7, 2009 Hope it doesnt have one of those patches on the back which supposedly make it easier to read numbers! Black letters is a good clue tho, that pretty much rules out any dark colour on the back of the shirt. Possibly a repeat of the whole red shirt we wore in 2002/2003?
Iceman Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Does anybody know if the online store, has any infant kits or how much it costs? Or if anybody is coming to Cape Town this month or next month, and could bring an infant Rovers kit with. Ill certainly pay for it, as we will have another fan soon :-)
SamTheShrew Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 id be happy with whatever aslong as the black letters on the home went. back to red please

Can't help you short term and I know its a bit far off, but I'm in Cape Town... 2010 with work. I'll remind you nearer the time if there is anything you wanted bringing over from the rovers store. By then it will be small boys, not infants!

b12_simon Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 You thinking a Man City kinda blue Simon? I'm thinking more of the '92 kit. And congratulations!
Hughesy Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Next bit has been revealed. 1 main colour, bits of another dark colour (either navy or black). It also has a dark collar. Id guess at either Yellow & Black, or Red & Black.
Backroom Tom Posted May 7, 2009 Backroom Posted May 7, 2009 Well it's not halved, I think the pic further up this page may be a good likeness. One good thing is no box around the sponsor at least.
Ricky Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 The collar looks like the one on this seasons Everton shirt.
eddiewac Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Looks similar to that yellow and black one we had a while back in 1993 or 1994
