Rovers are still on course for Premier League survival at the end of another amazing weekend of Premier League fixtures.

Rovers went to the City of Manchester Stadium looking to build upon the win against Wigan. However poor defending, particularly from set pieces resulted in Rovers conceding 3 goals in the first half. Rovers then pulled one back in the second half and the match ended in a 3-1 defeat.

Results in the other games has meant that Rovers are still 6 points clear of the relegation zone and a victory at home against Portsmouth on Saturday will all but ensure Premier League safety.
