That Roberts red card was ridiculous! Absolutely nothing in it and if that is worthy of a red card then think about how many red cards we will see in a game especially at corners and other set pieces. Joke! Has to be rescinded surely.

As for Robbo's save - top class!

Rovers are appealing against Roberts' red.

Anyone remember the game earlier this season at the Hawthorns? Soft penalty for us, given for a bit of holding of Roberts. Given by a certain Mr Jones. Might he have been (perhaps subconsciously?) making up for that? It's one for all the amateur psychologists........

Worrying that Tugay was our best player by far.

Very.

It looked like the only threat for Rovers was from our converted big centre half, which asks lots of questions about the rest of our attacking players are they really good enough.

Tugay (and poss Samba) have been our best players for the past month. He's a free agent now and he says he still wants to figure 'on the pitch'...... Lets hope tf that it's not t'Turf!!!! :o That would be too hard to bear.

With the focus on players leaving it was always going to be a dullard of a game.

Still no excuses 1864 - it was terrible and still goes to show the problems we will have next season unless a major overhaul is made, which seems unlikely given the comments of Sam int the LET

People can con themselves about it being the last game etc - but as has been mentioned WBA have been relegated yet they still looked the better side.

It should have been a convincer for the next season Season tickets - despite the price it could have the reverse affect - thank fleurk for Bunleh -at least it might generate more interest now. Its certainly made me have a rethink.

I was very naffed off with the players on Sunday. They are professionals but played as if they did not give a toss.

A win would have meant we moved up 3 places and raised another £2.1 million....enough to pay for the season ticket "sale" or even a player for Big Sam.

What a let down in front of a full Ewood Park.

I am not ammused!

The basic problem was we had absolutely no pace in the team except for Warnock's occasional overlaps.

West Brom are sufficiently well organised to handle a team without pace and did so. Even so, had a semi-fit Roque been where Chis Samba was on about four occasions in the first twenty minutes, we'd have been out of sight. And that is not to knock big Chris' contribution- he has been very good as a desperately needed makeshift target man at the end of this season.

I don't think Sunday's performance can in anyway be extrapolated to the future except to say Sam knows where the weaknesses are.

Same as me PB. I said my farewells to Toogs and then turned my back. They are dreadful.

it wasnt' just Sunday though Philipl - Tugay leaving should have been the tonic and spur for at least some effort - with the exception of Samba, poss Warnock, Robinson and the legend himself the rest just didn't give a toss . Even Givet looked disinterested.

On that basis I'm really excited for next season.

If we can produce the results we have been doing with only three players producing the goods, the future is very bright indeed.

This might have been asked, but does anyone know were those of us who werent fortunate enough to be at the ground on Saturday can watch the Tugay video that was shown on the big screen.

It'll be on some cd that Rovers release every year of the seasons highlights apparently.

roar

I must say if I was Coyle with a team of inexperienced players, a desire to play football rather than 'hoofball' then Tugays experience and ability would be very near the top of my wish list. He has not looked finished this past month thats for sure. If I was Tugay I'd maybe want to prove to SA that he'd made a mistake too. Lets hope the QPR thing is not a complete fabrication.

Do players get winning bonuses these days?

Don't they get extra cash just for walking on the pitch???? Apperance money if you like.

Its a bit early for shockers like that!!!!! Player coach somewhere, but not there and then back to Rovers hopefully.

<_<

can't see the logic there, Phil, not wishing to pee on your chips or anything.

It looks like we might have less than 3 players producing the goods next season.

The squad has more holes than Swiss cheese, due to chronic shortfall of investment. Ordinarily you'd look to build a squad over time, adding 1 or 2 players here and there. We're so naff now that we have to get about 6 players in this summer, and it's very difficult to make them gel as a team in a short space of time.

I'm just ground down by it and expect more of the same next season. feelgood factor - 0.

I think there was a bit of irony in there, Bryan. Unless I got this wrong Philip was doing a 'glass half full' rather then half empty kinda thing.

That means you can only be happy next year. As opposed to having great expectations and then being disappointed. Natural pessimism is a good self preservation tactic.

I'm like that every season Theno ... just for next its more of Impeding Woe

Only after seeing what Hull and Stoke are about and the difficult obstacles for the teams coming up give me any sort of hope.

Then again nor am I as worried about being relegated as others are ... more worried about the momentum being with our infamous friends down the road ( I know to many to even contemplate defeat off them)
