Blue n White Rover Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Does anyone know if Roberts will be fit for the game? Be nice to see him score a few past his former club! Getting closer to fitness, but Sam confirmed he won't be playing a part in this weekends encounter, as it is not worth taking the risk. Roque is also making progress with Nelsen definately out aswell. I think Rovers fans need to show a lot more appreciation to Andre Ooijer aswell. Yes I know Tugay is departing and he deserves a great send off, but in my eyes, Ooijer deserves one too. Maybe not the same, but this man has never put a foot wrong for in his attitude. Has been played all across the back four and has popped up with some crucial goals this season to help us survive (Everton and Spurs). Great attitude, and a top bloke, All the best Andre!
Hughesy Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 For all those posters in here, banging on about ticket prices etc. NO EXCUSES NOW!!! The clubs superb offer has made sure of that.

I couldn't agree more. At centre half Ooijer was a joy to watch coolly dealing with pretty much anything thrown at him.
Blue n White Rover Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I couldn't agree more. At centre half Ooijer was a joy to watch coolly dealing with pretty much anything thrown at him. I remember his first game VS Chelsea, giving away a penalty to Drogba, he was tortured that game. Remember coming back on this board and the amount of stick Sparky got aswel as Andre for such a shocking debut. However, once he got to terms with the pace of the premiership, he was a brilliant asset for us. He may not have been the quickest, and may have conceded a few dodgy goals, but his positioning was very good and that allowed him to have the upper hand on some wingers, regardless of his pace.
Sparky Marky Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Absolute tosh...!!...this supposed world class defender has been caught out on a number of occasions this season out of position, citeh at home springs to mind immediately...I know there are lots of other examples....and to cap it all off he shows unprofessionalism as he's leaving and the manager is forced to put Andrews in against wigan....sooner we get rid the better...

Clearly a wind up right?
Blue n White Rover Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 The first 2 words of your post says everthing about your post, absoloute tosh!
Sparky Marky Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Oh right....thanks mate...you look back on this season and you'll find that ooijer has been at fault for a number of goals.
Blue n White Rover Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Oh right....thanks mate...you look back on this season and you'll find that ooijer has been at fault for a number of goals. Like I said in my post, he may have conceded a few dodgy goals, ala the City one, however, in most of the other games he has done a solid job for us. He also popped up with 2 crucial last minute winners, that have gained us 6 points. What evidence do you have that due to his "unprofessionalism" he was left out the Wigan game? As far as I am aware, he's been struggling with a hamstring injury. He's been a great player for Rovers, and always has a smile on his face. Pleasure to see him play in the Blue and White halves.
Fife Rover Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Are you talking about the new season ticket prices on this one or last seasons? If it is for the new season then i'm sure £150 can't be too much of a struggle? I may be wrong, as I don't know what type of lifestyle you live, but surely, £20 a month can be spared to watch the Rovers? It's not me that has the problem dear boy (or girl). Read the whole of my post before jumping in with both feet and brain disengaged. Anyway I WILL be there on Sunday, in spite of living well over 200 miles from Blackburn. And to answer your question: what is the significance of which season I meant? On the figures for a pensioners income they could hardly afford one if they were free. Just keeping body and soul together on that amount is almost impossble.

Apologies, missed a whole page so got a bit lost. Season ticket prices in previous seasons have been around £300-£400 depending on where you sit. However, with the new season ticket prices, you could purchase a seat for £150, now i'm not saying it is possible for every person on pensioners income to get a season ticket, but it surely can't be immposible. £15 a month and that is a mere £3.75 a week. Not a huge amount of effort I would have thought, however, I may be wrong.

Does anyone know if there is a risk of a sell-out? I was planning on buying on the day as I don't know whether I will be coming on my own or with others yet.
T4E Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I got a ticket in the BBE lower a couple of hours ago Philip without any hassle.

I was planning on buying on the day as I don't know whether I will be coming on my own or with others yet. Just had a browse trough the online seat planner. D/E sold out BBE/L, a few and I mean a few. BBE/UT, around 1000 left I'd guess R/S odd single seats, more towards the D/E maybe 300 in total Penty in the JW upper and at the D/E side of the lower. I would say this is going to be as near to as a sell out as we will get, I would put a guess at over 28,000
roversmum Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I went to get some tickets yesterday, could only get them on the back row of the JWL area I wanted, yet the online booking shows there are hardly any sold in that area

Billy Castell Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 We should go for all out attack and give Doran a start: I want a 3-4-3 formation! Robinson Zurab/Gunning or Mokoena/Givet Doran/Warnock/Tugay/Pedersen Diouf/Samba/Pedersen We're not going down so lats have a party.

That's not the sort of party I want to go to...
Billy Castell Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I couldn't think of another centre back since Nelsen is out. Oh yeah, there's Andre. Put him in for Mokoena.
