Stuart Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Aside from suggesting that we aren't good enough to hold on to Benni, that's an über positive article! To the point of naivity, even suggesting that the Walkers are continuing to invest, as demonstrated by their backing of the Ince of Darkness! Silverware next season? Only in my dreams. Maybe another couple of (hundred) articles like this one and we'll believe we're back competing with Manu br our main rival! Hang on a sec... Did our very own cult hero Vinjay write that?
Guest Vinjay606 Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 The club competes directly by playing in the same league as Man United. I doubt Jack would have been grateful to Hughes for linking himself to Man United at every opportunity (refused to sell Shearer to them) and unsettling Cruz. Plus Hughes hypocrisy forcing Bentley out of the club. The only good news the manager could possibly get from the "Walker foundation" whatever that is would be the news that they have sold. Top half and Europe is exactly what the club should be aiming for next season.

Stuart Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 The club competes directly by playing in the same league as Man United. No Vinjay. Our team competes with United twice a season plus cups. As a club we stopped competing with them about 12 years ago, possibly longer. We might give then the odd bloody nose now and again but compete at the same level, we do not. Every Rovers fan looks forward to the day when we get back to doing so but in the meantime the sane ones are realistic about how far we are away. Now unless you backed this year's Grand National winner please try to be more realistic in terms of our chances of getting back to being serious rivals to United's league position. Even a takeover this week would mean we take years to get up there, just look at City.
