Online system now working - 1 renewal and 3 new ones purchased.

Well done - good to see that sort of take up.

Well... just purchased my first season ticket at Ewood since 1993 and pehaps more surprisingly, one for the mother in law.

Well done also - more like these two please

I had thought about not renewing this year even if I was allowed a YA ticket (as in previous years) However after seeing the prices I really thought I would renew. Not so sure now.

Seriously £199 is nothing - get it done. Direct debit of £21.50 a month - what did you pay last season for a young adult ticket??

I looked at the online thing earlier and it looked like a grand total of 2 Darwen End tickets had gone lol.

I've just been on and there are only 2 sections of the lower tier available with 2 seats gone.

I wouldn't worry just yet, they've only been on sale half a day.

I think to be embarrassed for me is a bit harsh, all I was saying is in the past BRFC have allowed those in FT education to get the YA price, but this year it has stopped. It was just an information pass on to anyone who had the same question as me.

And I pay £30 to travel to home games whilst at university, and there are no cheaper ticket options, I have looked.

no i cant tap up my dad, and I pay for university myself. That 70 would have got me to almost 3 home games.

Also the reson I believe that the club should is having visted many universities in this region, and getting to know many people, students are looking and going to premierleague games. Students from the US and China, etc are going to individual games to Man City (£10 a game) and would travel up to blackburn if a similar offer was available. I just think the club is missing out.

I think the club has put on a fantastic offer this year, but all im suggesting is additional ideas the club could put in place.

That doesn't make any sense really. Mature foreign students aren't going to get Rovers season tickets unless they're already fans of the club, especially ones in places like Manchester where Premier League football is available on their doorstep (relatively speaking).

To address the bit in bold...hasn't it just changed this year so that the offer isn't available? Why haven't they all been travelling before now? The club have obviously come to the conclusion that they're not going to be missing out otherwise they wouldn't be withdrawing it.

It's £199 for a season ticket FFS! Unbelievable that the club lays on the best season ticket pricing in the league and still people moan! It costs me £30 to get to a game, too. As it did when the Blackburn End was ~£440 a season.

I wouldnt should too loudly about that - especially as I had to pay full price when I was a full time student aged 25 with a wife and 2 kids to support.....

... Tom Finn personally turned my request down, and this is when they were £400+ in the Blackburn End.

It has always been Young Adult - never Student. Anyone else has been very lucky.

Why don't you go in the Darwen End then? £150 for a season ticket, so almost the same as a YA in BBE.

I'm a part time student and pay about £40 in petrol per game, although with petrol prices that may be higher soon.

well yes, isn't it very easy to jump on someones back. quite clearly people didnt read what I said.

My point was the offer for FT education students was not available this year - information pass on to anyone who wanted to know.

I had already said i was thinking about not renewing. I didnt say i wouldnt, i said it would take a bit of thinking.

Yes 199 is still a great price!!!!

People at uni's who go to the odd game, didnt want to pay £20 to join the scheme. That was a reason, they also had no idea of the offer until i told them, and if people think the walk ons and foreign fans arn't worth advertising to i suggest they walk round manchester on a match day and listen to the fans in the red shirts, they certainly are not from manchester.

shouldnt need to justify yourself on a messageboard.

The thing is the club cant go any lower than this, can they really when the players are being paid around £1m plus per year. Hopefully blueandwhite you'll understand that when you get your results and get a decent career going you'll be able to afford the best seats in the house and find the time to do it.

At times we all have to make sacrifices, unfortunately now yours is to focus on your studies with football matches a luxury item for another year.

Good luck blue and white for the future, apologies if I offended you.

So as I'll be purchasing a season ticket for the first time, which is the best area of the ground to sit in with regards to atmosphere, view, etc. On my previous visits always ended up in the JW stand, but I'm very open to change. I'd say view would be the most important thing for me.

:o

£250 in JW Central for a Young Adult, very tempting. Is the move too early though hmm :rover:

About 30 years too early ;) And you'll have to moan about absolutely everything or else you'll be drummed out and into the BBE :D

Just renewed for me and the lass in the family stand - £199 + £75 is an absolute bargain

Good speech JAL.

As for BlueandWhite, I have made many a sacrifice in the past to watch the Rovers, I understand it is a very expensive hobby but I've always made it. I was never a mature student, but I was an apprentice on £40/week but managed to get a season ticket on the drip.

Do you drink or/and smoke? if so it's a couple of pints less a week or a packet of cig's less a week.

All I can say is '£21.40/month for 10 months'. Good luck BlueandWhite, I hope you can make it next season to repay the club for what they have done for us fans this season.

It really depends to what your used to. I sit on the Blackburn End and love my seat, but I cant bear to sit on the side of a ground as it is such a big difference. It's gotta be behind the goal for me.

Why don't you go for a Darwen End ticket, then you'll get a view from alternative ends for 4 games a season. that could possibly help you make your mind up for future seasons.

Now that is a proper discussion, I do agree it would be hard to lower every price, i think what the club have done is fantastic, but i would be interested to know what age group brfc lose most of the fans at. if i'm wrong then i guess my idea is invalid, but its an option. I'm only 22 but have had a ST since i was 4. (one of only a few rovers fans to have held a ST in the Darwen Upper). The club can never please everyone, for me I was hoping to get the YA price again, I will have to think hard about it in terms of finance.

football is always going to be a luxury now (cant even watch non-league as its cheaper at ewood!!) its a shame, that its been taken away from those 60k crowds teams even like us used to get, and i hope people who have lost their jobs recently or are like me can find the finance to go and support this fantastic offer, but more importantly CLUB.

After watching the Ince Debacle i'm used to the moaning, mind you, last time I sat there (West Ham game, Dodgy Tevez goal) I felt like the only one singing.

I'm sure the rest of the board members will make me feel right at home

I was just on-line and about to renew. Then I noticed that there are no discounts this year for 39-40 year olds. £21 ish per month to watch Premier League football?! They can shove it. I'll stay at home and play with a stick or something.

That's the spirit! Kids these days need xpods and iboxes and they still moan there's nothing to do. In our day a stick was all you needed...
