It is brilliant of the club to do this. I just have one problem with it. In the main I have been the stay at home while hubby went to Rovers with his son. Male bonding sessions. I started going to Rovers with my dad when I was 9 and have supported them ever since whether I went or not.

Then Sam Allerdyce arrived and hubby threw his toys out of the pram saying he was not going again while he was in charge. So that meant I went with son and if he was at uni used the ticket and went with a friend. I now have the bug and would like all 3 of us to go next season at these prices.

Son is staying at home next season and since going to the last game hubby has now collected his toys, feels his protest has lasted enough and wants his ticket back. If I want one now though it means I can't sit anywhere near them and what fun is it on your own. So we have decided we have to share a ticket and I will go one week with son and hubby the next. So because they have no flexibility on accomodating families in the area they want to sit they have lost a season ticket sale. Any suggestions around this would be helpfull. The two seats we currently have are on the Riverside Area EO3 Row 12 seats 121 and 122 just in case anyone reading this knows that tickets are spare around there or could move to accodate us if they were no bothered. Lots of single seats around in that block apparently.

If you rang the ticket office they could tell you what was free around there as singles, or if you wanted three together.

Cant see how there is "no flexibility". Im sure they will sell you anything that is available!

Can have 3 together row 4 where you get wet every time it rains.

In response to the earlier post. No I am not Waggy's wife so there were at least 2 protesters.

To be fair - if there isnt 3 empty seats to sell that isnt being inflexible!

There isnt many single seats in that block from what I saw when I looked - again Im sure the TO could tell you were a single seat was.

If there's not 3 seats together in exactly the area you want that suggests that the seats are already taken by other season ticket holders. What's the club to do - boot someone else out of their seat? Or am I missing something?

Loads of seats together in a slightly different part of the Riverside.

Well I suppose not but I wonder how other people go on when they don't really want to move and want to bring some of the family along at these prices. We have the option to wait till the last day for season ticket sales and see what there is now. But reluctant to do that as we have lost seats before using this ploy so hard to know what to do. Would seem that sharing is the best option.

Last season I had a bit of a similar thing - I wanted to move near to my uncle in the Riverside. When I first got my ticket the nearest seat was about 10 away, but as I renewed I put in a transfer request. The day after the season ticket holder deadline day someone from the ticket office gave me a ring and said that there was another one now available 1 seat away so I could have that.

I would think that the ticket office will do everything they can to get you closer together.

Thinking about buying a seaon ticket myself, would mean travelling down from Scotland every home game. Only thing is, none of my mates support Rovers so i would be going myself.

Every time i have been to watch Rovers in the past it is with friends, is it boring when your alone?

No, I've had a season ticket for 9 seasons now and I occasionally take my nephew who is a Rovers fan too...You meet up with people there...Rovers fans are a friendly lot.... :P

Look where I come from...At least you can go by train... :rover:

No they are all very friendly and tolerant (I have been know to shout). Get yourself down you'll soon have a group of rovers supporting mates that you can meet up with before the game.

Get yourself in the blackburn end lower - up towards the left hand corner at the back. You will soon make plenty of mates there!

Depends which side you refer to as left?! Facing the pitch, or looking from the pitch!

The club have always been really flexible in accommodating my various moves over the years. I'm sure if you ring them they will do their level best to help although you may need to wait until after the renewal deadline. I enquired about moving forward this time and they offered to renew my current seats and then put me at or near the front of the list after renewal date to look for something better. Can't say fairer than that. Give them a call

Will the forum be asking for updates on this tonight (early sales etc?)?

Season tickets are on the agenda and we will be discussing a few points, but I doubt they will give us any exact sales figures until the start of the new season - they haven't in previous seasons. I'm sure they will offer an opinion but no exact numbers. Numbers at this stage will be pretty meaningless anyway as it's not in any current season ticket holder's interest to renew until the end of June. The only interesting number will be the number of new applications but I doubt we will get a figure.

You might SG - They have implemented some new software which gives them figures much quicker now.

It's not a question of not knowing the numbers but of not wanting to disclose them for commercial reasons, which I can understand.

18.7% or there abouts. The polls on here are usually around 3 or 4 % less than what actualy happens.

So that case almost 23% would mean an increase to around 18,500 - still below target!!

Don't forget to take off the 5 not renewing - the net increase is 17%.

Mine as renewed today down at the ticket office. Whilst there filling out the form there were 13 other renewals and 3 newbies !

So there is a steady demand and the forms havent even reached the homes of supporters yet.
