Sorry Hughsey, Burnley dont figure in the equation.

From what I have heard, away fans from Burnley at Ewood will be around 3400 and likewise for us at the turd, if the authorities have their way and both very early kick offs..

Maybe that is true - however that isnt the clubs view. The clubs view was Dingles as one of the 4.

The people within the club that deal with all the pricing structure of our season tickets and the plan around the 4 that are not included in the deal. The same people that put together the whole package that is being offered to our fans right now.

Sshh they forgot that!!

Maybe segregation would be more of a risk?? Just because they get the whole stand, doesnt mean they will get 8000 tickets!

Segregation? Easy. Give em the bottom of the DE, make sure that they are on busses only and are there an hour and a halfe before KO and then don't let em out for an hour like they did with us at t'turf. :rover:

can you feed back to whoever your sources are that giving Burnley the whole Darren End is utterly stupid. Drog has the right idea - ship em in on buses - 2500 in the top tier and then hold em in for an hour afterwards, and then ship em out.

Ok will do - so what do you suggest for the other half of the stand (whether you choose to use bottom or top for the dingles)? Leave empty seats??

Empty seats is preferable to dingles.

Home fans is better. And I do not buy the argument that it isnt possible - it clearly is - we used to do it, and other clubs do it week in week out,

Yiou couldn't possibly have Rovers fans in the Darwen End lower tier and Burnley fans in the top tier. What a disaster in the making!

We've been through this one before. If it is policed correctly it can be done.

The last time the neanderthals were at our place it was policed very well, we need to ship them in early doors, in the ground for 1pm using our bar and catering facilities in the top tier. leave the 1st 5 rows empty and flood it with police and stewards, 1st sign of trouble start taking them out and locking them up. Once the thugs are being carried out they will think twice about causing any trouble.

If we have them in the ground for 1pm the Rovers fans in the bottom tier can go about their business as usual.

Why should we suffer for the dingle thugs?

We could have a section of the bottom tier for families so the kids can experience the passion of the derby.

dingles MUSTN'T figure in the equation, we will get a maximum of 3k at the dingle dome, it should be likewise at Ewood. Less dingles means less problems.

I wouldn't even give the full Darwen End to Man Utd, Liverpool and whoever else. We can fill it with our own fans for those games. I'd much rather have a full house of Rovers with a couple of thousand opposition fans than the likes of Man Utd taking over half the ground again.

Cant do that - we can only charge away fans the same as what blackburn end fans pay for their match day tickets. No point ripping them off just to stuff away teams.

From a business sense - us giving United just 2000 tickets doesnt make sense - we would lose out of 6000 tickets at close to £36 a ticket.

Stu - im trying to get confirmation from the club for you on who the 4 will be.

Not a chance will that happen ig they're in the top tier. Regardless of whether or not your plan is implemented. It isn't worth taking the risk with the children.

All the season ticket info is coming in dripsd

I can't see why the club can't give an indication of what the reduced pricing will be. I know of about 5 people who are considering season tickets for the first time, probably in the Darwen end but they are holding fire until they know the full picture.

All they need to know is pricing in JW outer, JW inner (as I presume that this is where all the spare seats will end up being, if all the Darwen end is given up to Away fans) and a price for the rest of the ground for Cat A and Cat B games.

If the club doesn't get it's finger out they might spend their money on something else.

Forget the family seats, that was just an afterthought. Bung them in the top tier out of the way and arrest them as soon as they break the law, including smoking on the concourse, threatening behaviour and D&D. Lock them in like they used to at all grounds with away fans and clear the area to ship them out.

Policed correctly, like the recent fixtures, the game will go ahead with no major incidents.

We will only get 3000 tickets maximum at dingle Dome, so they should get pretty much the same at our place.

Has it occurred to anyone some of these Burnley supporters might be ordinary people like you and me? To read this you'd think WW3 will break out.

Actually I know a lot of Burnley fans who are normal, sane and senible people - they just happen to support Burnley. Unfair that they should be tarred with the same brush as the idiots who don't know or who choose to ignore how to behave.

My best mate is a Dingle.

But the point stands, they have some nasty people in their away followings.

I'm not naive enough to suggest we don't have our own set of plonkers, but if somebody gets hurt, the coppers are gonna be copping the flak for it, aren't they? They'll want to avoid a situation like that.

One of my mates is a dingle. To be fair to them, I've met some intelligent and articulate Burnley fans who are friendly and very happy to talk football. I've also seen idiot Rovers who could start a brawl in an empty room. We know Burnley has its idiot element, the fans who sat down on the road outside the ground refusing to move following the 0 - 2 defeat we inflicted on them in the league and who subsequently went on the rampage through their own town for example. I think every club has them but some clubs seem to have more of them than others and Burnley seems to be one of those. The Police have the hard job to do to keep order and avoiding the first/last and Boxing Day matches seems pretty sensible to me.
