1st game of the season?? I think this is one where they should not get it! Get the buzz going - a full ewood, with about 27,000 Rovers fans in. We need to hook those Darwen Enders in from the start.

We should split it - 2 1st half of season, 2 second half.

October - 17 Burnley (H)

December - 5 Liverpool (H)

April - 17 Everton (H)

April - 10 Man Utd (H)

Looking at it from a commercial point of view, City (who have a very fickle away support) are more likely to sell out the end given new season optimisim and the money they are spending on players rather than Everton who are likely to be marking time at that stage of the season.

That said, I think everyone would prefer Rovers fans in the lowe tier for the first game.

I agree, we need to get the Darwen Enders hooked from the off. Fill it with our lot.

I'm still not keen on giving dingles all the Darwen End. Commercially yes, for safety I'm not sure, but my heart says no. Shove them in the top tier and drown out their dulcet tones.

I doubt the police would let them have the top tier and us the bottom tier. I certainly wouldn't give them the whole Darwen End again. Give them half of it.

The poll above suggests around 18% increase in ST holders. On a ST total of 14000, that would give us an extra 2520 ST holders, taking the total to 16500.

Very airy fairy figures and total guesswork really, but how near the truth will that figure be?

Current - 15,000 season tickets.

Take out the "No, and not got one now, No", "I'm Waggy and dont like Fat Sam" &

"Grooby gets a freebie anyway" and the percentage of new is around 22.5%.

15,000 + 22.5% - 18375

The polls on here are usually around 4% under the true too - so 26.5% = 19k or so.

100% agree. NO WAY should the first game of the season be one of the 4.

Especially not with City, their newly found arrogance needs to be sent to the Darwen End rafters.

Liverpool, United, Everton (as they consistently bring more than City and its a weekend game towards the end of the season) and lets be honest its going to be the Dingles.

Thought I read that we had slightly over 14000 - still, not much difference there.

Not sure you can take out the grooby, no and not now, waggy votes. That would skew the votes on here? The way I read it is that 18% of all the people who voted will buy for the first time. The rest either wont buy for the first time, will renew or are uncommitted. You must look at 100% of the votes surely?

The same poll on the official site is much higher, last time I looked it was over 30% new, I think.

From an analysis view though - you would just look at Existing, new or non renewals.

Also the new one is now up to almost 19.8% anyway lol!

32% new st holders according to the official site vote.

a lot of people will wait until July 1st because of payday for most. People also usually wait until the fixtures come out (especially thoses that dont attend every game).

With City or Everton, both usually sell out, if they are having a good season. Id expect city to sell 8k as its the first game, but if everton arent up there when we play them, they probly sell 5kish.

However with it being the first game of the season, City should only get the top, it also doesnt look good that those new darwen enders are paying and moving for the first game. Ewood needs to be a real party atmospherefor the first game.

Ive finally got off my backside & sorted out my Season Ticket!!!

A juicy tie with City & possibly Roque for the 1st game of the season will be an intersting prospect.

Will miss that one as I'll still be on my hols. Thankfully the next 2 are away and I'll be back for the second home game.

Now. Hughesy, you know me better than that. Did so a couple of days ago!

I am still struggling to comprehend that in mid June, not far off a MONTH after the announcement of prices was made, people still havent got their packs, it has frustrated the hell out of me. This is a pivotal moment in the clubs history, a chance to bring old fans back to the fold, for friends of regulars to jump on board, a chance for people across Lancs to get involved, I feel it is slipping away.

A great example being I know of 3 fans who attended the Final 3 in the Darwen End, are planning to get tickets for the Darwen End for next season, heard NOTHING from the club. Its crazy.

Like I said the other day mate - 20,000 packs are being sent out soon to non-season ticket holders, however they wanted to get closer to the 'claim your own seat' deadline before they went out. As a big amount may not be able to get tickets were they would want (i.e. Bburn end Lower) - however once that deadline has passed, some seats will become available - and may therefore create abit of a scramble for the best seats.....

I'm wanting 2 STs in the Blackburn End lower but I'm deciding to wait until the renewal deadline has passed. In the (likely) event that every decent seat has been sold in the BBE, I'll probably get one in the Riverside. However last couple of times I've sat in the Riverside I've had a dodgy view due to the bloody pillars.

Anyway my question is this.......does anyone think if I go down to the ticket office they will let me have a 'viewing' of my seat? Last thing I want to do is commit to a ST and then find out I've got to watch all the games without seeing half of the penalty area?

Do Everton or City bring more usually? I cant really remember?

I think it's hard to say. Everton are the better, truer fans where as City are strange fickle wannabee's. Being first game of the season they'll probably come out in force to check out the new signings. Also their arrogance will probably lead them into thinking Ewood will be an easy place to come to now they are one of the 'elite'

I'd rather give the away end to Everton than cocky City.

Rovers possibly want to get the rush of the renewals out of the way then they can deal with the longer process of new customers.

Why don't these 3 fans contact the club regarding purchasing tickets rather than sitting and waiting?

OK cheers mate - it's top service really from Rovers. No doubt at one of the 'bigger' clubs you are just expected to take that risk - for three times the expense

I agree, that really is going the extra mile for the fans.

Seriously they will let you go to your seat before you purchase it? Or is there a spot of sarcasm there?

Do you think they'll introduce me to the person who has bought the spare seat next to me on the BBE row 28 before the season starts just in case they are really annoying?
