My Dad, whose never had a season ticket but attends 5-6 games a season, received his info pack today. Normally he gets it the same time as me.

I'm surprised by the Darwen End sales figures as I know 6 new season ticket holders (3 completely different couples who don't know each other) and they have all gone for the £150 tickets.

only 240 sold in the Darren End....that is pathetic....mind you if we tried to give them away we would still struggle to hit 500.

Why all the negativety?

People forget it`s very nearly holiday time. Lot`s of folk will be saving for & waiting to get their annual hol out of the way.....expensive time of year!

I got my 2 brand new season tickets for the Darren End today.

The girl in the ticket office said tickets are selling very well.

I`m confident the Darwen End will be a great success story.

I`ve got a couple of mates who are toying with the idea of getting a S/T but are going away in early July & are counting the pennies for that first.

BE POSITIVE PEOPLE!!!!

We might sell more if the info actually got posted to people. :angry2:

Agreed. I had my credit card "at the ready" at the last home match, but lack of applications, or ability to even buy a DE one didn't allow me to buy it.

A month later and circumstances have changed where money isn't as freed up as it was before combined with pack not having shown up combined with Kevin Davies as our main target and it is up in the air for what we'll do.

I find this rather strange. There are 3 people out of a group that live in or near Edinburgh (myself included) that have just bought season tickets. All of us for years have been in the habit of watching Rovers matches on TV in Edinburgh pubs or bars, and just popping down to Ewood 6 or 7 times a year.

But now because of the amazingly good offer on prices we have all figured that if we go down to even as few as 10 matches this year, we will be better off than just going down as we have before and paying the match day prices. Added to that we now have a guaranteed seat waiting for us whenever we choose to use it and can see all 19 matches if we want to. The choice is ours. It is a no-brainer, and I cannot understand why the whole ground has not sold out already.

If you're going to use that as an example then you'd think we would have sold out a fair few times the last few seasons - but haven't.

When was the last time that Rovers season tickets were on sale at far less than any other PL clubs, and in fact cheaper than all but two clubs in the entire Football League?

I know a few people who were considering Darwen end tickets but wanted more details on the 4 games.

They are likely to be the games that everyone will want tickets for, so won’t want to miss.

But as of yet we have no news on, how much the tickets will be or unless I’ve missed it that you would be guaranteed that there will be tickets, for you buy. If the Blackburn End lower is full and the Riverside is nearly full, if Man U, Liverpool or the 6 fingered ones get the whole Darwen end, there would only be in the Jack Walker stand.

All the club need to say is that CatA games are so much in each stand or CatB would be X, and that if there aren’t enough tickets left in the rest of the ground to cover all the Darwen end tickets then part of the Darwen end will be available to home fans.

On the other hand I am wondering why only half the Darwen end is available online? As tickets are unreserved I was wondering if it’s easier for the club to sell tickets through the ticket office in one part of the stand and the rest online. The forms wouldn’t need to be processed immediately etc.

Managed to get a friend of mine into the Blackburn End Lower. I think there were 2 or 3 singles tickets left in the lower tier, hoping the existing STHs renew.

There is a Transfer sheet available for those who did not get a chance to get the seats they wanted. If STH's don't renew then once you have filled out the transfer sheet, they will automatically change your seat to the area you wish to sit in.

Great service from the ticket office.

I did a transfer request last year and it worked very well. The day after the season ticket deadline the ticket office phoned me up and give me a choice of seats so I could get closer to my Uncle.

Have you tried going round to his place more often CN, or even giving him a cuddle now and then? Works really well.

Shhhhh people on here are moaning gits!! Thats the way they like it! I thought we couldnt tell by the planner how many had actually purchased in the Darwen End? Last I heard the club were very positive with sales, hopefully that is still the case and once the claim your own seat deadline passes, im sure there will be a big drive to boost sales further. Have the 2nd batch of packs gone out yet??

I have got to say - I would have a season ticket by now if I could get a £199 ticket for reserved seating in the Darwen End. I am not moaning at the club - I suppose they can't win - as different people have different needs. I am waiting to see if any are freed up in the BBE lower on 1st July - if non available, I will probably go for a Darwen End ticket.

dunno if we have all worked out who the 4 games excluded from the darwen end package maybe because i aint got time to root throught the whole thread sorry lol but i can tell you that all 'police leave' has been cancelled for the visits of manchester united, liverpool, dingles and manchester city! this may answer that one for us!!

maybe even with only half the D/E they feel there could be a need for extra policing, for one of the matches.

Everton have always sold out.

Surprised at the City game as it's the curtain opener, maybe S/T sales for the D/E are not going to plan.

My lad has just announced a friend of his wants an ST - newbie after two years of 2-3 games a season. Rang the TO to renew my lads and beg for another - wanted two together. Very nice lady said the BBE lower is completely sold out assumming everyone renews which is what the club now expects. No chance of a new seat in the BBE. The club have a list of transfer requests into the BBE which are unlikley to be possible as demand exceeds supply.

Discussed the possibility of the DE and she said two games will be Liverpool and United with the other two and prioces still to be announced. I was told to ring back end of next week to see if there was any slim chance of a transfer but not to hold out any hopes.

The third of the four games will be Burnley, according to the official site ... and that displaced fans from the Darwen End will be able to buy seats in the Jack Walker stand priced at 25 quid.

I wouldn't want to sit in the lower tier of the darwen end if burnley fans were in the upper. It will be easier to police the fans if they get all of the darwen end as well.

DISGRASE!!!!!!!

2K AT THE SCUMHOLE AND THEY GET THIS ...WE SHOULDNT BE DOING THIS!!!

2K MAX FOR THE SCUMBAGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
