A disgrace if they give the Dingles 5-6000 seats. The revenue would be nice, but we want as little fans there as possible due to the atmosphere they'll create and try help spur them on.

For me the money isn't as important as us trouncing them resoundingly.

JW ...we would sell every ticket in the darwen end for the bumley game.

The point being ABBEY all these people who'd turn up for this game are npo bloody use to Rovers at all. So what if we'd sell every ticket. The club's just being practical and having read many of the posts on the subject I don't blame them. Some of the stuff posted on here sounds like a throwback to the hooligan days.

From the moment I heard about the DE offer I'd wondered how good an offer it really is. The wisdom of denying regular support the chance to see the top four games being very, very questionable. It's basically saying you can come and watch the boring everday stuff we can't sell but you can't have the cream. A poor decision IMV.

My son's friend wants his first ST, he is a convert to the cause. I'm irritated my lad didn't ask me about this till yesterday, so it's their own fault, but on finding the BBE is full, the Riverside almost full, the DE is the only option. Now part of the problem is the success of the cheap ST offer after years of being able to get any ticket at any time it has all changed. This is good news. OK £150 for 15 games is great but I'm totally unimpressed that I will then have to fork out another £100 for four matches and will have to remember to buy the tickets plus presumably get credit card charges. The lads can't even stay in a regular spot. £199 in the BBE entitles one to a regular seat and all matches. Effectively £250 plus credit card charges for the DE entitles one to be moved around the ground at the club's pleasure. Not good. I wouldn't buy one for myself unless all other possibilities were closed. I suspect this will work for a season at best and then fall away.

So much for the bargain £150 S/T all 19 games now cost £250 can't see to many being happy with that one.

BBE/RS £199

Sounds like the D/E are being penalized for taking back Ewood.

Sam ringing around for a spare seat in the JW, Does he not know you can't change seat until after the deadline.

don't you think £250 is still a a bargain...isn't that still cheaper than many in the Jack Walker?..

One thing guaranteed to stop me renewing my season ticket is Allardyce ringing me about it.

Has he rung Waggy?

Yes but that's not the comparison people will make. They'll be looking at the Riverside and BBE and deciding the Darwen End deal is significantly poorer.

I am just frustrated they hype this taking back Ewood offer, but fail to implement it for our biggest game of the season. Smacks of them putting that bit of money before the fans. Even more of a smack in the face when its looking like we'll only get 2000 there.

I wanted to sit in the Darwen End, but kinda glad I got persuaded not to now.

I would have happily paid £199 to sit in there for all but 4 games, but with the guarantee of a (paid for) ticket elsewhere for 4 games to be honest.

After sleeping on it, I am still disappointed in the news.

However I wouldn't be surprised if we do end up selling quite a few Darwen End tickets, in the next few weeks.

As the club are giving away fans so many tickets having a season ticket is probably the only way you will get to see the big games, I wonder how many spare seats are in the Jack Walker and what the club would do if we sold more Darwen End tickets than there where spare seats available?

There are 2,000+ Celtic season ticket holders who are turfed OUT OF THE GROUND every time Rangers come to town. (there are no spaces anywhere else in the ground to get tickets) They pay less for their tickets and put up with it. That's the result of having a successful team. If the ground sells out, then the only option if you want to see Rovers play is the Darwen end one.

Really good idea that surprised it's not been thought of to be honest...think many more would have got one if you had a guaranteed seat and it only cost the same as the Blackburn end. I think the idea of the £150 is a good one in principle but if Sky Sports offered a deal of cheaper football packages but you missed the best ones you can't imagine many wanting it.

Do think that with it being unreserved seating there is no incentive to buy early so this may make it difficult to gauge how succesful it is yet. Why pay £150 now when you can pay it in a months time?

Me and my mates are getting season tickets in the Darwen end this season.

However I agree with Ossy Dave in that the club have made a huge mistake in not giving fans the option of £199 for all the games but with 4 games being moved to the Riverside. I personnally don't enjoy the JW stand as the atmosphere is aweful although the view is perfect.

The club have been saying that they want both ends of the ground sold out however as far as I can see it, they are making fans move to the other stands due to not offering this deal. Is there any way off contacting the club and getting this view accross, does anyone know if there is a fans forum coming up soon were this issue could be raised?

I am confident that we will get all of the derelict stand at turd moor as if it is a policing issue, then it will have to apply to both grounds. I am sure that there is only one turnstile entrance for the 5 finger and toes stand.

I guess the reason they couldn't guarantee seats (in whichever stand) for the 4 games, is because they have no idea what the take up will be. The BBE and the Riverside look like they will sell out anyway, so the only option is to offer the option to buy in the JW. If there aren't enough seats in there for all the Darren Enders to relocate, there's no way the club can offer a guarantee of a seat - they have to be sold on a first come first served basis.

People have to remember that the income from away fans for these big games is way above what comes in from home fans, simply because there are fewer kids coming in, away fans spend more at the kiosks (mainly beer), and the ticket prices themselves. Rovers have to find a solution to protect that income whilst still encouraging home fans to attend as many games as possible.

And whichever way you look at it, 15 games for 10 quid each is a fantastic offer. I guess it's par for the course that people will pick holes in it - that's the way we are.

£150 and £199 season tickets for premiership football and some people are still not happy!!!!

Although the £150 for all but 4 games is not ideal, i'm sure the club have looked at all the ways thet could offer cheap season tickets and still be financially competitive in the league. I imagine the club hope that a precentage of the £150 ST holders will not attend the other 4 games therefore allowing them to recoup some of the cash on full price tickets to everyone else.

I iamgine that the Darwen end tickets will start to sell now the BBE and Riverside have pretty much sold out. We couldn't get seats together in the BBE so are in the Jack Walker Upper at £299. Still fantastic value IMO :rover:

Yeah good point Tris, I'm not too concerned about the overall cost, I just feel that it would have been an avenue that they could have offered to those who wanted it. I'd be happy to pay £250 and take whatever seats were available for the JW stand (doesn't need to be reserved for every game, just the 4. I'm getting it on direct debit, I'd prefer to spread the cost over the season and not have to pay £15 dd plus £25 in 1 month for one of the 4 games.

As you said though, £10 a game is more than generous.

I didn't renew my season ticket last season, because I work alternate weekends and they changed my hours to a 4pm finish instead of 2pm. I was focussed more on away games last year because I could pick and choose, I went to Everton, Newcastle, Bolton, Wigan, Hull, Blyth, Stoke, West Brom, Fulham (called off just as we got there lol,)

I am a bit concerned that the Darwen end will not get the numbers that they hoped for, don't really want to be stuck in a near empty section tbh.

Kind of makes sense why some people aren't happy :rolleyes: !!!!!!!!!!

The priority of the club was to get both ends of the ground sold out, as this has been a huge part of the advertising campaign.

There should be an option to pre pay for the alternate 4 games so that it can be spread out or payed all at once. The JW stand isn't going to sell out so it would be more than possible to reserve seats for the 4 games.

Did those who paid £150 for 15 games think that they'd get the other 4 for a tenner as well? Maybe the club should lay on a free limo to escort them to their temporary new stand for those matches, give them an ice cream and a bottle of pop as well.

I just wonder if we had made all tickets £199 for 19 matches how sales would have gone in the D/ELT

I can't understand your comment "Did those who paid £150 for 15 games think that they'd get the other 4 for a tenner as well?." Why should they not have expected to be treated the same as the rest of the supporters?. It was the clubs decision to make it 15 not the fans.

The B/E and R/S are.

I don't understand why people get so defensive about ti. We all want the same thing which is a full Ewood. I can't imagine there are many who don't think the offers in general are outstanding. The Darwen End one however does have basic flaws and if that means it is only half full then the offer has failed.

Just blaming it on the fans to me isn't really constructive.

For all those getting indignant about us offering the entire Darwen End to the Dingles should remember we didn't offer it to Stoke's knuckle scrapers last season on safety grounds.

This decision will have come from plod and while we'll still offer them more than they offer us (we're paying the penalty for having a decent ground) it'll not be ~8,000 shoeless inbreds - not even close.

Why shouldn't those fans get the other games for £10 a time please explain Bill ?

Should they not be treated the same as everyone else, if you get a limo, they should get a limo, if you get a free ice cream they should get a free ice cream.

People that I know who are going into the Darwen end are doing so for the unreserved seating as well as the view. Not because it is £50 cheaper (although there may be a few that are) I'd be more than happy to pay the same as everyone else, I chose the Darwen end because of the atmosphere that can be created in there if things are done right.

I've been in the JW or Riverside over the last few years and both those stands have their faults in my opinion, Riverside facilities and JW lack of atmosphere.

I don't agree - existing season ticket holders should be treated better as a reward for loyalty.

Hence why the BBE is the best value for all 19 games.

I think that the club have missed a trick not offering £199 tickets in the Darwen end - but I can understand the reasons why. Ultimately we have the cheapest tickets in the EPL - and if people don't like the idea of paying a total of £250 for all matches - they can pay £299 and sit in the JW (which is still cheaper than most EPL teams).

Lets get real - there may be some flaws in the approach - but you can't please all the people all the time. The club should be applauded for at least trying to put fans first and at least putting together a package that will hopefully see Ewood fuller than for a number of seasons.

Why praise the club when people can pick holes ... get a grip folks and fill the Darwen End (I've moved their from, well I'll let you work that out) AND I've not heard a single person who has a bought a ticket in their complain - although I'm sure I will be proved wrong. I'll be £50 better off, be able to pick and choose where I sit and still have a nice lofty view from the JWU for the 4 matches we get moved for.
