I'm assuming you've counted the seats. What about the 2 (out of 4) sections 'greyed out'. I assumed half the DE had been sold.

Am I missing something?

They havnt gone on sale.

Selling SO1 and SO2 first - presumably to be able to give away fans the lower tier as well as the upper - although I hope they give SO 3/4 first (and to the smaller followings - rather than only opening the lower tier.

Until half the Darwen End Lower sells out, the other half is being held back. Hopefully sales to Rovers fans will put it on sale for Rovers ST holders, otherwise it might be used for walk-ons but much more likely made available for visiting fans avoiding the problem of away fans being above the home fans.

Why do we worry about such nonsense - it happens at many other grounds with few problems.....

Surely the desired situation is that REGARDLESS of any other sales we stick away fans in the top tier out of sight and further away from the pitch?

Sorry, should have put 'half the Darwen end lower greyed out'. But my question has been answered by Mr Wilks.

Btw, there were no problems with away fans being above the home fans at the end of last season. It's just that there is a fear that smiters from Greater Yorkshire will be lobbing their shillings on t'eds of our lot. Point taken about segregation though.

ST sales in the JW are looking pretty encouraging.

Apparently the seat transfers have not yet been worked out so some folks apparently have both the seat they are going to and their old seat blocked out. So you have to allow for some double bubbles in the numbers but it looks like about 17,000 STs so far based on a casual check of the web site unless someone who understands these things better can say otherwise.

i was completely bored this morning and pottered about on the one rovers website, and i estimated over 16k sold. I didnt include the section of jw upper at darwen end side which I guess is "taken" for relocating the darwen end season ticket holders.

I hope we can hit the 20k mark, which should be possible given there are 6 weeks to go. Got my darwen end tickets yesterday, and the ticket office lad said they had started selling well in darwen end in the last few days given bburn end lower sold out and riverside virtually sold out.

I believe we might hit the 19,000 season ticket mark at a push.I just hope we dont see the number of 'walk-on' supporters decrease.

I can imagine the overwhelming majority of our home fans next seasons will be season ticket holders (if that's not a stupid statement).

The club are really dangling a big carrot here, and it's up to supporters to respond in kind, but the big stick is that casual fans may be priced out.

After TV revenue, I think the majority of income after season tickets will come as a result of being able to charge full price for away fans. It'll be interesting to see if there are reciprocal pricing agreements with Bolton and Wigan this season.

We could really do with getting the town centre shop open as soon as possible to give plenty of time to advertise the season ticket offer.

NOBODY is priced out Jisty,Rovers have made the offer of supporting your side and it being cheap possible but the big challenge for Rovers is converting these 'casual' fans to full time season ticket holders.Sadly I do believe there are many that fit into the 'something for nothing' brigade, they want fantastic entertaining football **AND** at rock bottom prices!

Most with any sense know that isn't going to happen......Champagne tastes with Beer money anyone?

One of the areas this offer reaches, are the semi pro and Amateur footballers who play Saturdays!! with many games on a Sunday/Monday etc it may encourage some of these lads to buy a Season Ticket!!!

I just wonder if the club have hiked up the match-day ticket prices to allow them to run plenty of £15 style offers, but still justify the frequency of the £15 offers by having ticket prices so high for the majority of games. Just ten games at £30, already justifies the value of a season ticket, this would prvent moaning from season ticket holders who felt their loyalty and money wasn't valued...?

That's true. I know lads who play in the Lancs Amateur league who have got season tickets this season.

Quite possible, on the prices page of the season ticket pack it says 'The club will run promotional activities at selected fixtures'

Normal adult match days prices 2009/10

Riverside £17.00 - £28.00

BBE, DE £29.00 - £35.00

JW Wings £22.00 - £33.00

JW Centr £28.00 - £38.00

and for those of you waiting for a BBE season ticket to come up - there one seat in the centre block available as per onerovers.

has the club anounced anything re: reserving seats/ Guaranteeing that there will be a ticket availible for the big 4 games. I would be supprised if they are but if they are doing it I would of thought they would promote it.

also I would of thought we where somewhere between 18-19k tickets sold, not taking into account non renewals.

5k BBE Lower

5k Riverside

2.3k BB Upper (about 3/4 full)

DE 0.3k

JW 6k (about 2/3 full)

The first game of this season really shouldn't be one of the big 4, it's the ideal opertunity for the ticket office to convert walkons into season tickets. We could still split the stand down the middle and still sell 4,000 we might miss out selling a few thousand £35 tickets to City fans but get a few hundred £150 tickets from Rovers fans maybe not just this year but for years to come.

We arent having 7k plus Dingles at Ewood ever again, get it into your head.

No you get it into your head that Burnley will be 1 of the 4 NOT included in the Darwen End deal. Unless the club of course has changed its stance.

Just dont see any future around here for Tom Finn and John Williams, IF, they go ahead with such a stupid decision.

???

You're seriously suggesting Williams and Finn will be put under pressure to quit the club by Rovers supporters?
