has anything actually been decided yet OFFICIALLY with regards to the 4 games?

Genuine question,as i haven`t heard anything....

Blackburn Rovers have confirmed that Burnley, Manchester United and Liverpool games will NOT be in the 15 game darwen end season ticket package

the 4th game is to be confirmed at a later date

supporters who have a Darwen end ST will be able to purchase tickets for these 4 games at a price of £25 per game

this was all confirmed last week mate

So Darwen Enders only have to shell out £250 for all 19 games if they decide to move for the other four games? Pretty good deal to be fair, though I'm sure a few ungrateful toerags will moan about it... <_<

from www.rovers.co.uk

The 15-game Darwen End season ticket does not include the home games against Liverpool, Manchester United and Burnley, plus a fourth fixture still to be decided.

Thanks lads :tu: ,i have just found the link myself and was about to post it!

For those bleating about the club giving the dingles all the away end,it really is up to the Rovers fans to stop this by buying the tickets and ensuring the club have no other option but to limit away support.

I think the dig at the suits is unwarranted as they have done all they can financially to entice supporters back to Ewood, but at the end of the day it is their job to gain as much income as possible by whatever means.

I have done quite extensively already, if you could be bothered reading through the thread. :D

I have an email from Tom Finn (managing director of BRFC) saying Bumley will have the entire Darwen End......no matter how many STs are sold.

Even if Rovers sell 5000 Darwen End STs & there`s only a couple of thousand non-ST seats in the rest of the ground, Rovers will ignore ticket demand from home fans. It will be a first come first served for the available seats.

In the email he states security reasons & financial reasons (basically they can sell tickets to away fans for top dollar)

I think it`s wrong. They should put Rovers fans first.

No, because any fan purchasing those tickets (at a fantastic price) must have surely assumed that the Burnley game would have been one of the four not included. If you wanted to see the game then spend only a little bit extra money and get a season ticket in another area of the ground. If the entire ground sold out then I would be sympathetic, but as it stands it will have been a choice.

spot on eddie everyone knew that burnley was never going to be one of those 15 games!!!

i actually agree that burnley getting the whole of the darwen is the correct idea, my only concern is rovers fans not getting the whole of the cricket field stand (if this actually turns out to be the case)

but people who bought a darwen end season ticket would have to be crazy if they thought burnley would be included in the 15 games

When you quoted this Tom Finn email two days ago here, the email apparently said this -

"It will be unrealistic in this scenario for us to be mixing home and away fans in the Darwen End as this works against any coaching operation etc. We have not yet determined as to how many tickets we will allocate to Burnley"

So where in this email does it now say (as you state above) - I have an email from Tom Finn (managing director of BRFC) saying Bumley will have the entire Darwen End???????

Or are you just turning the words to suit your own standpoint and interpretation, as indeed you admit yourself ...

The bit i`ve highlighted makes me think they will give them the full allocation

It's a poor do if you're stating as fact something that has in no way been written to you in any email from anyone. When you do it to discredit the club and mislead supporters, it's even worse.

I'd have thought it means dingles will have the entire Darwen End purely for segregation and safety reasons, but not ALL tickets will be on sale, maybe 10 rows kept empty at the front and sides to help keep the animals contained.

The club will make the right decision and we must go with it. the BBE, Riverside and Jack Walker will be full of us so we will just have to drown them out and our lads will have to shut them up from the pitch as we did when we stuffed them 5-0.

I do feel for the fans in the Darwen End who will struggle to get tickets, but that was always going to happen for the big games.

I think some thought needs to go into working out how the Darwen end can be safely split for these games, especially if the Burnley game becomes a more regular event over the next few seasons.

As it stands there isn’t much of an issue, with a preference period every DE season ticket holder who wants a JW ticket will be able to get one. If another 2-3,000 season tickets are sold between now and the start of the season that might not be the case. I don’t think the club can afford to disappoint any % of our fan base even if they are new season ticket holders, buy locking them out of the ground for the biggest games of the year, or they might miss out on £200 next year to get £35 this.

I also don’t think the argument that DE season ticket holders new what they where getting so tough holds out either. Hardly any DE tickets where sold until the BBE Lower and Riverside where full or really restricted seats, so people are buying these seats because they are what’s left.

A lot depends what the issues are seen as being, is it segregation in the stand (Don’t think so) Infiltration (probably for Burnley, Man U and Liverpool) mixing outside the ground (against Burnley)

If we sell an additional 2-3k tickets infiltration becomes less of an issue so it’s Just working out a plan to Bus the Dingles in to a compound giving access to two turnstiles rather than four.

How about we give them the upper and Lower tiers at the Riverside side of the Darwen end and have big fences to the car park. This surely isn’t a million miles from what is planned anyway.

As I said earlier it isn’t an issue with sales at current levels but it could be by the start of the season and maybe the club preparing a plan just in case.

Just dont see any future around here for Tom Finn and John Williams, IF, they go ahead with such a stupid decision.

Two guys who have steered the club through troubled waters and given us the cheapest tickets in the Premier League and still they get stick from some of the fans. I find it totally unbelieveable. Once Burnley were promoted it was obvious that they would be one of the four games that wouldn't be included in the Darwen End season ticket for two very good reasons.

Firstly, the club have spent a great deal time and effort in trying to build the Rovers as a family club. They have gone out of their way to market tickets for families to return to football. Therefore they are not going to risk undermining this by allowing Burnley and Rovers fans to share the same stand. They have a responsiblity to safeguard the safety of their customers and if trouble kicked off they would be held directly responsible.

Secondly, we have the cheapest tickets in the Premier League. However, Blackburn Rovers is a business and money needs to be made somewhere. Cheap season tickets have meant higher matchday prices so that the club can make money from the away fans - like every other club in the Premier League does. Therefore, selling out the Darwen End for four games is essential to compensate for the cheap season tickets. Manchester United, Liverpool, Burnley and I suspect Manchester City would be games that would maximise income.

Far from attacking Tom Finn and John Williams I would have thought that most fans would congratulate them for what seems an excellent piece of business that gives the fans cheap season tickets.

As far as the amount of tickets that Burnley will be getting, - well what is the fans forum for, if it isn't to represent the fans views?

I would think the vast majority of rovers fans would like the Burnley fans restricted to the upper tier. They might accept that isn't possible when the evidence is presented to them, or they might not. However, shouldn't the fans forum members be putting the arguments forward now, before the decisions are made? Can't the FF discuss this with the club and urge them to respond to the fans wishes, before the next scheduled meeting?

Yeah I agree that the fans forum is there to represent us (the fans,) and everyones opinions should be put across so long as it is shared with a number of others.

I am pretty confident that there are a number of our supporters who would like to see restrictions on the dingles allocation especially if we are to have a reduced one at their dump.

I cant help you with that but I wish you the best of luck. From what I've read on here, the ticket office staff have done a remarkable job accommodating fans needs, I'm sure you'll get sorted.

Are tickets not on open sale now?

What a ridiculous comment to make about possibly the best chairman in the league. Rovers have looked after us fans extremely well in recent years.

I'll tell you what we should do, sack the board and sell out to some tin pot consortium led by the likes of Mike Ashley or some foreign business men who couldn't give a toss for the club and it's fans who will drag the club back down to the day's for the '80's.

We follow a great club and the club looks after the fans better than most. The club is creating a situation where it will be difficult to obtain tickets for a good few games a season, resulting in another boost in season ticket sales next season. Isn't this what we want? A full house? A great atmosphere? Or should we just hold back and have a half full stadium every home game?

Credit to John Williams and his team for the work they have done for the club.

BBE & Riverside sold out? Try the Jack Walker Stand, at £299 it's a bargain.
