He's 15 years old so both he and his father are allowed to buy seats in the family stand. I wanted to buy just two adult tickets in there but they won't let me. Bit strage as I've been told we can bring Molly with us without having to pay for her but we can't sit in the Blackburn End Upper unless she also has a season ticket. I can't help but think 4 weeks is a bit early for her first season ticket lol.

BFS Probably got the 01524 mixed up with 01254.

In the days before phone messages, emails, the internet, direct marketing campaigns direct to the doormat, etc ... how on earth did people remember to renew their season tickets? In fact - how did anyone in Blackburn and beyond even know there was a football club there at all???

Like I did, got off my fat arse and made a point of finding out.

However not everyone are so addicted to trawling the internet and are siting on the fence waiting to be spoon fed the information that will tip them over into buying a season ticket.

All though only purchasing singular tickets on match day or just prior to I bought 4 last season for the BBE/UT

Strange system. there seems as many youngsters in other areas as in the UT, there hardly safe up there from the abusive language Etc in some of the chants/songs.

I really no longer see the need for it, I'm sure others/and the club will disagree.

I agree, there is no need for Family stand of that capacity at Ewood. Especially not BBE. JW Outer Maybe

The family stand being in a top tier alone is better for families - there kids cant go walking too far into the other side of the stand, and they cant get out.

Doesnt seem to be a massive take up in that stand - maybe an option for Rovers to open up to all home fans? But I doubt it!

We've had seats in the family stand for years, since our kids were young. When the older ones got to be over 16s they had to go and sit elsewhere. However, that's now been relaxed and, despite the fact that our youngest is 19 we still sit there because they are our seats and we're used to them, and nobody has told us we can't have them. We've also bought tickets for other adult family members to sit with us up there, something they didn't allow a few years ago.

It's a system that works very well. The kids don't notice the language in the songs; one doesn't have to listen to the abusive language that gets shouted - which the kids DO pick up on; the stand was No Smoking long before the rest of the ground; the concourse was never over-crowded as it is in other areas; nobody is drunk and it didn't reek of stale beer.

The Family Stand worked very well for us and I guess still works very well for those using it.

Sounds like some common sense is being applied by the club. How could you have someone growing up watching Rovers sitting comfortably with their surroundings, developing habits, customs and rituals for then to to be told when you've reached a certain age you've got to move to another part of the ground to sit elsewhere - just didnt make sense.

Good one on the clubs part. well done to Mr.Finn and co. :)

Agree 100%.....the whole of the BBE should be given back to the more partisan fans.I have no doubt all 7,500 seats would be sold that way.

A full upper and lower tier, in full voice every game - what a sight that would be. I agree, open it up to all!

We get 2,000 extra ST holders and it is suddenly time to chuck out all the families and visiting supporters!!!

Is that all the extra season tickets we have sold so far? Thought it would be more than that, anyone know the number sold from a reliable source (not just guestimates)?

An idea would be to put the family stand in the top tier of the Darwen end. Too late now i know but it's a possibility for next season.

16K as at monday - compared to 14k for the total of last season.

1000 still to renew

New ST holders between 20-25% of sales.

Does that 1000 include those looking to move?

Thats a decent %age increase but i still hope it goes up a bit. Hopefully >18K in total

I agree with that for an atmosphere point of view, not really fair on the people who've sat there for years though.

Yes 1000 ish havent sent anything back to the club - all the transfers will be happening at the moment.

Id hope we can get to 18-19k.

I too agree the whole Blackburn End would be better if it was open to all - however I cant see how it can happen given all the current families in there.

To put this 1,000 non renewals in context, there were 1,000 who did not renew for 2007/08 when we had the 25% price cut and 2,700 last season. There are always a significant number who do not renew for all sorts of reasons, ill health, work commitments, moving away, off to college etc.

Credit Crunch and loss of jobs will be playing a part this time around too.

15% increase on last seasons total season ticket sales already, with 5 weeks to go, isnt bad!

We just need to get as many more on board as possible.

Season Tickets currently not onsale online?

Still not available.

Let's hope we've gone totally "grey" by the time it does become available again

Is this the period where sales are not being made because of the "transfer window" for season tickets ?

I didnt see anyone at the ticket office window whilst down at the ground earlier this afternoon.
