i e-mailed the club the other day, trying to get 2 kids sesaon tickets, one for my 6 year old and one for my mates 7 year old, but as close to where we sit. they said they would look into it. got a call back today saying they had 2 spare a row infront of us, and would let us have them despite being transfer period. both me and my mate are really impressed with the help

Less than 2 hours ago I went on the Official Site to see if I could get two more seats for friends of mine next to or near mine in the JW Upper. I was trying to buy on line and was amazed to get the message that there are NO season tickets available but only event tickets. Whatever that means.

I have a feeling it is to do with transfer period - perhaps as the online system is live it defaults to showing everything available. Clearly as there will now be non renewals it is only right that existing ST holders be given the proper priority to be offered the transfer if they have put in for one.

And you get your figures from where?

The club - the same guys who do all the figures for all the board meetings showing things like ticket sales.

Patience my friend - it looks like it has been taken down for the last couple of days - whilst obviously they deal with transfer requests. It should be back up soon I would imagine.

There are currently no season tickets available. You could purchase an event ticket instead.

THATS WHAT IS SAYS ......OOPS

There were quite a few people down at the ticket office as soon as it opened this morning. Two young men asking for 5 applications they said they were for friends. Also three oldish people who have probably never had season tickets before were trying to get one. It's looking like people are getting tickets who have never had tickets before and trying to get more of their friends who wouldn't normally go to the games to buy a season ticket.

I asked a man on the ticket desk how many they'd sold roughly and he said they'd "sold loads" however many that is, I asked more than usual, he nodded.

Hello everybody :)

I`ve been away for a few days, but came back to another email from Tom Finn (i`d replied to his first email praising & thanking Rovers for their ST ticket prices, but expressing my views on the Bumley game).

In my email i mentioned the rumours coming from down the M65 about them splitting the Cricketfield stand, so they could sell more home STs.

Here`s what Tom Finn had to say in response to my 2nd email......

Thank you for your e- mail concerning arrangements for this season's Burnley fixtures.

The Burnley games will be high profile, being the first time in forty years that the Clubs have played each other in the highest League. Safety and security issues will be paramount and the two Clubs and the Police willbe meeting shortly to discuss ticketing arrangements etc with the aim being that both games are trouble free. I can assure you that views expressed by fans such as yourself will be taken on board during this process.

Your continued support is much appreciated.

Yours sincerely

T.M. Finn

Managing Director

Pretty much the same as the first reply Mr Finn sent me, but the last bit (highlighted) is taking a different stance.....a more positive one for Rovers fans :tu:

I`m sure if more people who feel the same way expressed their views to the club, they could present these views when the two clubs & the police meet up to organise security for the games. There`s no point in Rovers telling the police & Bumley "we`ve had an email form an angry fan...." It`d be far better to say "we`ve got a pile of emails/letters from fans saying they`re not happy with the way both clubs are allocating tickets".

As far as i`m concerned, there`s no point in having a whinge on a messageboard & then not doing anything about it. If anybody feels strongly about the subject, then simply email the club & express your views to them. Maybe then they`ll 'try' to do something about it.......if enough people get in touch ;)

post his email address and we can all have "express our views"

I`ve been in contact with Tom Finn through this email address.....

[email protected]

It is Lynsey Talbot (PA to the chairman)`s email address.

....or alternatively, use the "contact the club" facility on the official site (that`s how i originally got in contact)

Hope this helps ;)

Got confirmation of transfer through this morning.....

From row 3 of the B'Burn end, up to row 32 - RESULT!

How early did you put your transfer request in? just asking because I know they take those received 1st as priority...

Will be interesting to see if there is much spare space in the Bburn End after the transfer requests.
